No-cd patch?

I'd like to play HTW before ROME gets released, however I don't have Viking Invasion yet. I'm planning on getting it though so I can mod it, but before I do that I need to know one thing:
Is there a no-cd patch for Viking Invasion? And would that also work with HTW?
I checked gamecopyworld but they only have a fixed exe which is only for the warez version I guess, so no luck there.

Before someone starts yelling warez monkey, the only reason I want a no-cd patch is that the noise my cdrom drive produces when it's reading a disc would make a great substitute for the white noise military interrogators use to break down prisoners...

I don't know exactly what you mean,yes there is a download patch for VI.

If you mean a non-cd copy of VI itself,i don't know,sorry...

Thanks, but what I need to know is if there's a patch (or crack if you will) that let's me play the game without having the cd in the drive.
