Not to be un-original but I love Sparta. The whole Spartan culture and everything has always fascinated me. #### you gotta love them Spartans
Well I prefer Macedonians because of their Companion Cavalry and their kickass Phalanx.:)

I am all for the Thracians.
lots of skimrishing Peltasts and later the rhomphaia.
They realy represent their historical battlefield role in HTW and are quite difficult but rewarding to master.
I like the Persians and the Lydians.
Good Cavalry, Some good Infantry and Archers. And lets not forget The Elephants and chariots
Oh and the shed loads of money. More than you can spend

Btw, sparta was a city the kingdom was Lakedaemonia(sp).
Macedonians... trying to conquer the world with them just seems right. And Macedonian phalanx... beautiful. Simply amazing.
I do like romefeofori (spelling?) though, so maybe Illirians #2. Too bad you can only get the dacian ones in latest (classical?) age - same with thracian romefeofori (spelling? again), but you can get those by dismounting thracian cavalry (the heavy version).
