DeadPages FIX

[barocca]

check the alchemist lab for details,

a thoeretical instruction set for using in a mod is also there, (and more in README file in zip file)

interested to know if you guys can make it work for HTW
(post in alchemist lab if you can)

Hi barocca,

we have a workable deadpage, also new Lbm pic image.
I didn't tried your solution, but we wiped out for HTW all MTW units. The rule is, if some unit is not present in the prod and you have units after that one, those will not appear in game.

what is the purpose of your solution?

i get emails saying peeps cant see dead in HTW mod,
so i made a working deadpage for MTW_VI
(which has several units for which dead do not appear - round shield spearmen is one)
Now they do appear :-)

if latest version of HTW has fixed that problem then i can simply tell peeps that email me to get the latest version

what i mean is in Medieval some dead do not appear on the field,

it is entirely possible the peeps emailing me have an older version of HTW,

sometimes people upload older versions of mods to misc file servers without asking,
Patricians is available at several of those type of sites and i am sure i have seen Hellenic on at least one of them

now i can tell them to go and dowload the latest version and all will be well,

Just a FYI.

The problem will not occur as long as there isn't a unit that isn't in the specific unitprod file that is in the deadpagecoords file and comes before (above) a unit that is in the specific unitprod file. The game searches in a pathological order (from up to down) with the deadpagecoords file. So if it cannot find a unit in the specific unitprod file, but is in the deadpagecoords file, then it will just ignore all data that follows after that unit (in the deadpagecoords file). So only the order of the deadpagecoords file is important, not that of the unitprod file(s). That's the cause of the problem.
