Okay, I'm playing as the Irish in BKB's mod. I have an army made up of my knights, gallowglasses and bonnachts. I set my bonnachts to 'follow projectiles' does this do what it sound like? I love my javelinmen but I bloody hate it when they spend the whole battle running from some snot-nosed peasants. I know I can tell them to hold position, or just not have them on skirmish, but how to get them to charge without expending?

    Welcome, Brian Mc

Follow Projectiles just refers to the camera following the arrows or javlins.

To get the units to charge and not throw the javilns press alt and select the enemy with the left click just like u would with a melee unit.

A command I use often when I 'm defending for amusement as I await the hand to hand melee at which point its time to micro-manage and stop goofing off
    Happy conquering!

I must admit it is fun to watch the arrow close in and hit, especially if you turn the volume on your computer all the way and they scream..... Ok back to calm nice little self, no more evil villian talk.

The key thing with javelinmen is to take them off Skirmish.

Move them over to Engage at Will or Hold Formation and they won't run when someone gets close, it will also enable them to loose their javelins without running.

I sometimes use the follow projectiles feature to make sure my missile unit is really shooting (I just don;t trust the blinking arrow icon on its panel) and to make sure it is shooting at the right target.

the bow icon is the shooting.

blinks arrows means the unit is under enemy fire.
