    Default Forum is open

    Hello,

The new SP forum is open. Tamur and therother will do the daily moderating. This forum is currently a bit like a guides forum: moderators start a focussed topic and anyone can reply. This format can be adjusted for this forum if necessary, for now just drop either of them a PM to start a topic. You can also nominate existing Colosseum topics to be moved over here. Aim for the guides fora is to have only a fistful of topics for very easy access, that's not the goal of this forum.

    Have fun.

    Thank you Tosa.

Things are a little up in the air with regards to the workings of this forum for the moment. I think we will probably start moving over existing research threads from the Colosseum shortly, based largely on the Forum Index.

Tamur has started up a thread for forum name suggestions. Others will be opened/moved in due course.

    Hello,

Some topics are moved already, anyone can nominate topics to be moved as well, Colosseum topics only. Please post the URL here.

Are threads such as Doug's spears and horse archer threads suitable for moving? If so, could I nominate these:

Well it seems, unfortunately, like my day for complaining. Has the thread moving idea been completely dropped? Are they valid for nomination - therother suggested they were when I asked him to move them?

Oh well, back to the TWC I suppose. Nothing, it seems, has changed here.

The phalanx and horse archer threads are already in the forum index, so there's little chance of them getting lost but it might be a nice idea to put them here if people feel that it increases visibility. On the other hand, members looking for these threads in the Colosseum may miss them if they were shifted.

Red Harvest made a nice thread on archer effectiveness in bad weather:

Having it indexed would be great, or having it shifted here.

Threads dealing with research on any matter of RTW game mechanics belong in this forum. This forum is not primarily to be used to improve visibility, although that is a welcome side-effect. Rather, the goal is to concentrate and coordinate research efforts.

When a thread is moved, a redirect is usually left in the original forum (a redirect is a link to the thread). As threads are given unique numbers, and it makes no difference to the thread ID which forum it is currently residing in. Therefore all bookmarks should still work, as well as all subscriptions.

This thread, as well as the threads nominated by Morat above, have been moved into the LM.

Unless there are other threads identified, I believe this is the last of the legacy research threads in the Colloseum.

As a general note: please use the Ludus Magna for all future RTW research threads. There is information on the operation of this forum in the Read this before posting! thread.

    Thank you.
