    Default v0.72 Collected Bug List

This is mirrored in two places: the Guild and TWC.

Key: "Awaiting confirmation" means that the bug remains unconfirmed, obviously; if anyone can confirm such a bug, please do. "Awaiting assessment" means that the appropriate team members haven't commented on how easily the bug could be fixed or when it will be fixed; if you're an appropriate team member, please take a look at the bugs marked awaiting assessment and, well, assess them.

    Download/Installation
    • Preferences are overwritten. Status: Should be fixed in a future version.

    Map/Starting a Game
    • Lake Avernus in Kallatis is incorrect. There should be no unique building in this province (Mikra Skythia). Status: Approved by khelvan, awaiting implementation.
    • There are snow-covered trees in the Sahara. Status: Sprite issue involving certain nVidia cards. Should be fixed eventually, low-priority.
    • Carthaginian faction selection map is wrong, it doesn't include Ippone. Status: Awaiting confirmation and assessment.
    • The Arverni and Aedui faction selection maps are mixed up. Status: Awaiting confirmation and assessment.
    • Some ports are missing. (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=40451) Status: Should be fixed in next version.
    • Some islands have trees growing from the water. (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=40451) Status: Awaiting confirmation and assessment.
    • Faction description of Casse seems to miss part of sentence in the description of the Casse political system. Status: Awaiting confirmation and assessment.
    • Casse have a blacksmith in Camulosadae but their units don't carry upgrades. Status: Awaiting confirmation and assessment.
    • It's possible to bypass the western alps by travelling along the coast. Status: Awaiting confirmation and assessment.
    • A building named "Should not be visible" appears in some cities. (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showp...54&postcount=6, https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showp...7&postcount=45) Status: Awaiting assessment.
    • The market in Sulek (Yuezhi Yabgu) shouldn't be there, as markets for Yuezhi will only buildable in provinces with nomad settlements (and it's got a nomadic resource there so a settlement there isn't possible). Add a good caravan to the province instead (which is how they will get their trade in nomadic provinces). Status: Approved by khelvan, awaiting implementation.
    • Mala Gaeroas start in Dalmatia. Status: Awaiting confirmation and assessment.
    • Kallatis will need stone walls. They can keep their Getai general, but they need a mix of Greek and Getai rebel units in the city to start the game in 272. Status: Approved by Teleklos, awaiting implementation.
    • Some custom battle maps are in the sea. (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=58883) Status: Awaiting assessment.
    • The faction selection screen says Sarmatians instead of Sauromatae. Status: Should be fixed soon.
    • Sarmiszegethusa or Sarmizegetusa? Status: Awaiting confirmation and assessment.

    • Unit/agent placement:
      • Heruskoz-Swaiut inhabit "the extreme northwestern shore of Germania", but they appear northwest of the Black Sea. Status: Awaiting confirmation and assessment.

      • Starting Sauromatae foot archers are all Thanvabara, and starting horse archers are Aursi. Status: Awaiting confirmation and assessment.
      • Kyrene can keep their "Ptolemaic" general for the time being (maybe we can get Magas switched over somehow), but they need 3/4 of the troops to be greek ones (they can have a few local recruits, but they will never have greek ones at all in the mix under the current setup). Status: Approved by Teleklos, awating implementation.
      • Leuce Epos are described as general's bodyguard, yet the Eleutheroi in the British isles have several of them in their cities without a general. Status: Awaiting confirmation and assessment.
      • If possible we need to get some of the Indian longbowmen and hoplites into the Indian cities to start the game in place of a few of their other units. There may be some problem keeping this from happening, but I know they are available in a Baktrian skin and in a merc one (though this is an eastern culture controlled set of provinces to start the game). Status: Approved by Teleklos, awating implementation.
      • The Casse begin with a spy in Ireland. Status: Awaiting confirmation and assessment.

    • Scripting:

      • When using the script to see what settlements you still have to capture as Carthage, the marker around Sucum-Murgi does not disappear when closing the script. (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showp...9&postcount=33) Status: Awaiting confirmation and assessment.
      • When playing as Casse and Sweboz, the Advisor disappears when clicking the "Show me how" button. However, when playing as Epeiros the button changes from green to gray, but the advisor stays on the screen until you click on his portrait. Status: Awaiting confirmation and assessment.

        • Neissos
        • Roraii

I have a bug for you to add to your list -

In my Roman campaign i just fought a rebel army with a small leaderless army of my own, when i won i got a man of the hour and accepted the proposal to which i got a general to lead my small rebel bashing army with. Problem is, the year is only 267BC and his cavalry bodyguard are Equittes Singulares, imperial age cavalry... Yet i haven't even reached the first reform where i can recruit the Polybian infantry...

When I was playing as the casse about 10 years in a message apeared telling me that the gods seemed to have abandoned us and the ptolemaics were about to acheieve their victory conditions and win the game. I didnt know AI factions could win the game, and the ptolemaics werent even doing that well. Certainly the had most of phonecia but they hadnt really attacked the seleucids or the carthaginians. Anyway, I played for another 20 years and nothing came of it.

That message has popped up before. It's very weird and terrifies you into thinking the game is about to end, but it never does.

    Lightbulb Re: Collected Bug List

Great initiave! I started a Casse campaign today and noticed the following errors:

    General
    -
Some people are experiencing "Generic Error: DATABASE_TABLE error found : unrecognized record id egyptian general's bodyguard requested" (also id roman archer). Possibly bad install?
I got identical messages the first three times after I exited the game, first about id roman archer, then twice id roman medium cavalry. I installed it using Bittorrent.
-Factions still have the old tooltip description in faction selection and custom battle menus.
-Faction description of Casse seems to miss part of sentence in the description of the Casse political system.

    Units
-Clyddabre are said to "carry shortswords as a form of self-defence".
-Leuce Epos are described as general's bodyguard, yet the Eleutheroi in the British isles have several of them in their cities without a general.
    -Rycalware are classified as spearmen.
-Several Casse units have a different colour far-off then close-by. Most of the rest looks like the rebel warband from vanilla R:TW from a distance. This is most notable with the Neissos: they are light blue from a distance, but go to drab grey-brown close-up.
-Idle Kluddargos appear to be cutting their own shoulder with their two-handed sword.

    Buildings
-Bannodan appears as Roman barracks both in the city as in the description window. Tavern, Touabren, Aoun, Atorin and Adros Llew all show Roman barracks in description window.
-Stonehenge description contains typo: romanitems instead of Roman items. Incidentally, I distinctly recall visiting a larger stone circle in England, so that part of the description may need to be adjusted too.
    -Grain silo actually decreases trade.

    Campaign map
-When pressing the questionmark in the faction menu the advisor describes the Casse victory conditions, but uses underscores in the names of several towns.
-Casse have a blacksmith in Camulosadae but their units don't carry upgrades. Intentional?
-When watching the A.I. factions move the old rebel shield still appears at the top and not the new Eleutheroi one. Also, the Parthians are called Phalav and not Phalava.
-There is a land bridge between Scotland and Ireland. Also, you can bypass the western alps by travelling along the coast. Intentional?
-Romans are at war with Averni and Yuetze, but not Aedui. I suppose a mix-up occured.

Found this one whilst looking through my family tree...

    http://www.imagedump.com/index.cgi?pick=get&tp=363608

Apparently this man died of the plague in 337BC, and then died again peacefully in 268BC...

Some new things I noticed in my Pontos campaign :

Leimon Agonion/Purotheke have "Roman Barracks" picture
    Pantodapoi have no weapons
Drepanoi have the old RTW standard bearer
When destroying a brigand army I get a message with "may praise Baal blah blah blah "

A new bug, discovered by my girlfriend.

Playing as Casse on her first turn she noticed that she has a spy in Ireland. Upon sending this spy in to the town located there(Goidilic) her spy was killed(nothing unusual there). The animation on the dying Spy is bugged, it stutters and starts and drags out slightly. This was not a one off and has been duplicated.

Interesting. As sometimes this occurs when a spy is sent into a city (I mean that he dies) and a CTD happens. I don't think we have messed with those animations at all though. But this could be responsible for some problems I suppose. Thanks.

No worries mate. I just hope its not a major problem.

I had the same issue playing as Sweboz. Spy had a 93% chance of success, and not only died...but from the stuttering graphic it looked like he was being drawn and quartered ;)

This is intentional. The distance is considered short enough that an army could make impromptu ferries and get across safely without having to build a proper fleet.

-I'm seeing a very low quality model for Epeirote Taxeis Phalangitai for some reason. This problem has been around for a while, we need to get a high quality model in to take its place.

The original faction leaders for Casse and Sweboz are dead at the start of the game, and they too have the same dual death notice. Furthermore, as the game progresses, EVERY deceased family member has the "died of plague" comment instead of "born on".

In a related matter, 2 of my Casse family members died in combat, yet their Family Tree death notice's read "Assassinated ***BC".

I don't know if this counts under the already posted building description problems, but:
    - for pretty much all roman military buildings, it seems, the description consists of two texts superimposed on top of each other, which is difficult to read.
    - yuezhi are at war with the romans at the start of the campaign and comes with a ceasefire after a few turns. Seems odd that they'd be at war from start, as they're quite far away from each others on the map...
    - I saw no pre-campaign cut-scene as the Romani.

They may have spear as additional weapon - like hypaspistai if you want spear you have to give attack order with alt pressed.

Thessalian Cavalry - only merc has grey peasant
Ridoharjoz - one pic is good one wrong (don't know regular or merc)

Mathieu, those only appear on computers which have a nvidie geforce card (older ones). THose cards will not read the campaign map 3d vegetation and CA has said therer is no way to fix it. most people who have the problem don't even know it and have never seen the beautiful 3d vegetation on the campaign map.

We can fix it by making sure the sprites match up with our new 3D vegetation - there's a thread on the EBH about it somewhere that should be easy to find. It's nothing that you can fix on the map itself though.

(This is bound to make me unpopular, but...)

The market that we start the game off with in Sulek (in Yuezhi Yabgu) shouldn't be there, as markets for Yuezhi will only buildable in provinces with nomad settlements (and it's got a nomadic resource there so a settlement there isn't possible), but we need to add a good caravan to the province instead (which is how they will get their trade in nomadic provinces).

Alright, I could have searched for long

    Anyway, another issue :
Skuda Baexdzhyntae upkeep is 0 (for the slave faction at least, so it might be designed that way).

Well, I guess they are spearmen since they get a bonus against cavalry, but the units shows up on the battlefield with swords. However, the unit flag at the bottom of the screen and the image in the description both carry spears.

A few other custom battle issues discovered while making this screenshot:
    • Caledonian Rhyfelwyr and Doryphoroi Pontikoi appear double in the custom battle unit lists of the factions they are available too.
    • The Sweboz have a unit with the odd name Germanic_ infantry_feralharjoz and without description.
    • Sweboz Merjoz and Godelic Hammerinfantry still feature the vanilla standardbearers.

Sorry for being not very thorough, but I am playing the game on and off right now, so my observations are rather randomly made.

    Hey,
    Custom Battle CTD
    Rome vs Sweboz
CTD when click on the Aqua coloured unit (i forget their name....the veteran unit) clicking on them in deployment caused no problems. Clicking on other Roman units cause no problems. Because EB runs so slowly i haven't tried it since but will do so.

    Some new finds :

The following units have no unit card :
    Ayrudzi Netadzik
    Skuda Fat Aexsdzhytae
    Rebel Aspet Cavalry

Toxotai wear a hat on their unit card but they haven't it on the battlemap.

-Kallatis will need stone walls. They can keep their Getai general, but they need a mix of Greek and Getai rebel units in the city to start the game in 272.

-Kyrene can keep their "Ptolemaic" general for the time being (maybe we can get Magas switched over somehow), but they need 3/4 of the troops to be greek ones (they can have a few local recruits, but they will never have greek ones at all in the mix under the current setup).

-If possible we need to get some of the Indian longbowmen and hoplites into the Indian cities to start the game in place of a few of their other units. There may be some problem keeping this from happening, but I know they are available in a Baktrian skin and in a merc one (though this is an eastern culture controlled set of provinces to start the game).

-Since the walls on the map are appearing as roman stone ones (they aren't when you get to the city), let's drop them down to the second level wooden ones. There is no incongruity there in what you see and what you get.
