Thread: Correction to fighting animations?

    Default Correction to fighting animations?

I understand that you're going to make some changes to unit animations. One major change I would suggest is how Roman troopers fight.

When they start fighting, they crouch underneath their shields, perfectly accurate. But when they take swings with their sword (another problem - Romans stabbed with their gladii), they practically move their shields out of the way to do it! This would be absurd in real life! Leaving yourself open for 2 seconds would allow any scruffy barbarian to get a good hit in! The real Roman legionaries stabbed over or around their shields; they didn't move them out of the way on a whim!

don't worry...the animations for the romans (like the animations for many other units) will be changed
