I do believe he still is, but they started their campaign way to early, no pacing at all...

I can't stand most of the new generation, especially the women, they just get in because of their looks (and honestly that's nothing special) Freya screwed up more than enough imho. I also don't like anyone from VB (Van Hecke actually scares me, I'd swear he's always on the verge of shouting 'Sieg Heil !' *shudder*) and I have issues with Groen! mostly because I do care about the environment but they're acting like headless chickens and have the dumbest and most useless plans imaginable, all the friggin' time. Nothing constructive has ever come from those parts...

I really don't like anyone in politics these days, they're all too ambitious and no one thinks before they announce anything anymore.

Ambitious is good but instaed of being ambitious abou the plans they want to realise or help the poeple they are abitious for filing their pockets and wallets. But hey they're politicians for some reason.
Yeah and about the women I can understand tough it makes me wander how Inge Vervotte reached the top tough... But also, don't get me wrong I have nothing against female politicians, but sometimes some make me wander if they where put on the list so high because they are good politicians or because the law says so.
These days there isn't even a party I can say of that I they could represent me. Not even in the smallest things. These days it's almost so bad I would move to Wallony and vote Elio. And that's bad! So bad!!!

Oh well Belgian politics, what does it matter anyway. Within a few years Belgum won't even exist anymore... Let's move to the Netherlands! Then we can at least be ruled by a freind of Frodo!

    Ohw to keep on topic:
    I like pie! hmm pie.

The only party that could represent you, is the one you create yourself (kinda difficult to disagree with yourself, although on some occasions it might happen *produces a hysterical laugh, murmling "schizofrenic, me?" *)

I think I'm going to start my own political party:
    The "ANHTWAAWABSBWABW"-party

"Andres Never Has To Work Anymore And Will Always Be Surrounded By Willing And Beautiful Women"

They have one vote already: mine

I don't know anything about Belgian politics, I do know something about Swedish politics; a girl in a... reality soap (?)... well, a tv-show anyway called "Big Brother" is starting a political party called the "Unique Party".

Anyhwo I also like pie. So I think me and Gertgregoor should start our own party; No-one should have to grow up without tasting blueberry-pie...

    ...piiie....!

    We have lots of them.

If you're in the country, go to a town called Geraardsbergen and try the "Mattentaarten".

    Delicious...

Keep up the nonsense, because me myself and I won't be online 'til next wednesday.

Hopefully by then I will have 1) full Membership (yeeha!) and 2) won the story contest.

lots of pie in Belgium btw. But chocolate and beer is our real specialty!
So you might want to consider chocolate pie! Or Katherina koek. It's like pie but different. With chocolate and coffee taste. But my favourite still is the goodl old gold classic applepie, tough!

Eek ! Now I like the Dutchies (most of them anyway) but Dutch and Belgian culture is soooo different a new union of the 'low lands' is certainly not an option.

I say we should become an independant mini state (city state ?).

    Also, pie is good.

    Very good.

    Pie.

Anyway I think that's true tough we might share language, we might be even closer (when it comes to culture) to the Germans or perhpas even the French guys donw in Belgium. And about moving to the Netherlands you don't think I meant serious, did you? I mean I am from Flanders, we are supposed to hate dutch like Homer hates Flanders. (I hate how they called that guy! )

Just out of curiousity, these regional animosities intrigue me. Why must flanders hate the dutch? (I know this is probably a stupid, stupid, stupid question, akin to asking "why must all Americans by pure cultural law hate the french?" but..I have to know)

There's no exact reason to hate the dutch, but since we speak the same language why in heavens name must they slander it. I mean, it's totally impossible to understand their accent and they just can't speak french
Furthermore, we were a part of the Netherlands for 15 years and then became a sepparate nation. No real reason to hate the dutch, they're just annoying. French too, we Flemish ar a culture of our own

    applepie for the win

We don't need to hate the dutch. Tough I imagine there have been belgians (bout dutch and French speaking who did.) Belgium was part of the Netherlands for about 15 years. And in that period the Blegians were kinda a bit opressed an demanded more right and more equality. Well nobody listened. Then one day after an opera (or something similar) called: "de stomme van portici". There was kinda of an not so quiet protest. And well one thing led to another and well the dutch were kicked out of brussels (because of their own stupidity, long story). And well then Willem II the king well his methods weren't to soft and everything. So people quickly wanted independence and got it after all. 1830-31. Tough manny years before we've been a together too. But those pesky spaniards,...
Anyway, we don't really hate the dutch. It's just like English and French, Americans and Canadians, Spanish guys and Portugese,... Not real hatred but a laughing with each other and stuff. Like that. Absolutly no rivalry or anything, I have dutch freinds too.

Anyway Does anyone know a song about pie?

Edit: Welcome Conradus! SO finally there more Belgians comming to here!
