    Default Data1.Cab error

    Hi guys:

I recently purchased a notebook pc with Windows XP Media Center. Anyway, I downloaed the Age of Empires 3 demo to try it, and also the MTW2 demo. When I try to install any of those 2, I get an error message saying that "data1.cab could not be found" something like that. I remember this being an issue when XP came up, but I don't know the solution. Does anyone know how I can fix this? I'll post a screenshot when I can.

    Thanks

    King

Corrupt/unfinished download seems highly probable. Re-download the demos.

I believe I had the same once, still haven't been able to fix it, but it wasn't with any of those demo's.

Like LEN said, when in doubt, re-download, re-install. If that doesn't work, wave a tiki idol over your computer.

i did just that. The MTW2 demo worked fined after re-downloading from another site. I gave up on AOE3, I still get the same thingwhen installing the demo for that one, even though i re-downloaded.
