    I know theres a couple of these being made, but when the unpacker comes out, would it be possible to extract a lot of the data from Rome: Total War (like models and skins and that stuff) to make a whole Rome mod out of it?

    No, because the file types models and skins are saved in have changed. And probably the layouts of quite a few text files, too.

    ah that sux, so theres no way to convert them either?

    Well we won't be able to change models in a while so probably not. Or at least not yet.
    And it would still be quite a lot of work, but some parts can probably be used (maps and stuff for example).
