Thread: The Walsingham mod

    Default The Walsingham mod

    It occurs to me that the game would be both more immersive and more strategically satisfying (i.e. more fun) if the following information were displayed and checkable in-game:

    i) Marriageable princesses in the world from time to time and their location;

    ii) number of armies in the field from time to time for each known faction (number of armies, not their composition or strength); and

    iii) known foreign agents active in the world from time to time and their location.

    You could find all of this out by using lots of spies (or turning of fog of war on the campaign map) and counting, but that would take a large amount of time and would, in any case, be laborious and ultimately dull. Plus you would forget where that annoying merchant was halfway through and have to go back to the beginning.

    So - none of this is secret information, it's all there in the game files somewhere. Anyone got any ideas how to (i) access it; and (ii) display it ingame?

    There might be some scripting commands out there... I haven't checked I'll be honest.
