Unconquerable provinces?

I notice that the interior of Arabia and also the Sahara are rather large. Will you be making them unconquerable? Maps of this period are typically rather vague about ownership of these 2 regions and I would suppose that in an age before mechanised transport they were practically impossible to conquer and hold down.

Exactly, it should just be considered terra incognita, or if you like, an uneven edge to the map. Theres no particular reason that I can think of that the borders of you're Empire should end in ruler straight edges.
