    Default Faction Banners & Symbols

I am starting work on the faction banners and was wondering what symbol should be used to represent each faction (as opposed to representing each unit) and what colour should it be.

If anyone has a colour image of the faction symbol or can provide a link to one that would be helpful.

I'm still looking for a good symbol for the following factions:
    High Elves
    Wood Elves
    Kislev
    Ogres
    Tomb Kings
    Vampire Counts

I have different symbols than the ones descriped by Jubal_Barca's Dwarves (I plan to use an axe).

I don't want to use symbols you can colour yourself because they don't look that good when on a banner.

The symbol on the top of the pole is the Tomb King symbol. It's repeated in one way or another on every soldier and on every Tomb King building.

Banners dont neccessarily have to be the same as the faction symbol, most of the factions have a few different prominent symbols.

Well, as for High Elves, their colours (For the most part) tend to be white and blue, generally a white background with a blue foreground, though this can be flopped depending on the army, etc. One symbol that constantly re-appears on High Elves is the 12-pointed star, and though I am unsure of its significance, I see it all the time. Here's some quick samples I whipped up in photoshop to give you an example of what I mean:

    Blue 12-Pointed Star

    White 12-Pointed Star

    Hope this helps :)

Edit: The symbol for the Empire is generally a flat-ended Maltese Cross, centered with a skull. An excellent is the symbol Warhammer Online is using for the Empire:
