does anyone have it and if so, how does it compare to the other paradox games?

I bought it, and while I was originally enthusiastic I eventually found it a bore and went back to HOI 2 (actually DD/Arma).

The patches have improved the gameplay and challenge I believe but I lost interest before they came out. I doubt they could add enough to redeem the game though. I find it just lacks a sense of excitement or achievement somehow.
