Default War of a New Age - A Forum Based Game

    War of a New Age

War of A New Age - A text/Map based game, much like Risk, much like those small browser based war games, but better. The usual stuff, take a Nation, lead it, but now you have a say in rules and things.

A awesome new game with heaps of work being poured into it, looking for new Players, to play the game, and help run it!

18th Century Europe. Rough as guts, they thought the years of 1000 AD were bad, this is vile. Can you control one of 30 nations and take Europe as yours?

The map is styled, the game is set. We need more Players. The game will evolve, and with more Players, it will advance beyond Europe.

Come and see what the hype is about!

Warluster, you may or may not be aware of this but Belgium didn't exist in the 18th century. Belgium only came to existence in 1830. Furthermore the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg didn't exist either on its own until after 1830 (Belgium had to give up Luxembourg in order to get the Netherlands to sign the peace treaty).

How do you pick a country???
I'll take either the United Provinces or Sweden

I'm no expert on the history of Ireland in this period, but having it marked as one part British the rest in green does suggest this isn't an 18th C map.

Depending on whether we're talking early or late 18th century, Poland was larger...

    I'll take Poland anyway.

I made this map from a Blank Outline Map.

It may not be entirely Historically Accurate, sorry about that.

To choose a country, registar in the forums and, then (Logged In) Go to the thread in forum Country Threads, and there you shall find a list of nations to play as.

"Something can be done, by careful analysis, to sort out truth from propaganda and legend. But this is where the real difficulties begin, since each student inevitably selects, constitutes criteria, according to his own unconscious assumptions, social, ethical or political. Moral conditioning, in the widest sense, plays a far greater part in the matter than most people- especially the historians themselves-ever realize."

If you wish to Play as a Nation please register there and post there.

    New map as well,

I have extended Poland, as requested, added two new nations and divided Ottoman Empire.
Ireland at this point is under law a Lordship of England, I thought it worth representing, as is Hanover.

If you wish for a Country I missed, just ask.
Also come over to the forums, contribue there to the gameplay.
