    Default Superbowl XLII

    Title Should Be XLII

Don't vote if they are already playing where you live!!!(Only if it's not a close game )

This is a last second poll but still a poll...

    My prediction:
Pats vs Packers, Pats win by 6

EDIT: Name is wrong...don't speak Latin sorry

I'm surprised the Giants made it this far. Very surprised.

I am shamelessly jumping on the Patriots bandwagon.

I never much cared for football until the few months watching it with a buddy on Sunday afternoons, and after the seeing the 16-0 game the Patriots played, I decided to pin my newfound NFL-ish enjoyment on them.

Well the AFC game doesn't start for another 1 1/2 hours yet, so we're still good.

I'd love it if New York somehow upset both Green Bay in today's NFC Championship game, and then upset the Patriots as well (we all know that the Chargers -- sadly -- have no chance of winning in today's AFC Championship) in the Super Bowl. Again, that's what I'd *like* to see happen.

However, I'm under no illusions. The Packers will probably slaughter the Giants tonight, and will then subsequently be crushed by New England come February 3rd.

    Superbowl XXXXI
You don't know your roman numerals very well, do you? "XXXXI" is "XLI", and it was played last year. This year it is XLII, AKA forty-two.

Patriots vs Giants, Giants win. Picked out of sheer defiance.

Kind of humorous no one has picked the Chargers out of sheer defiance yet

As a Chicagoan and a Bears fan, may I take this moment to say; "Ha".

As a football fan, may I say "Crap". Favre deserved it. The Packers deserved it. My Grandpa deserved it. All I can hope for is that the Chargers take it, because no one likes a winner, that's just boring.

May the wretched Manning family be cursed forever more!!! GAH!!

Curse them to the most fiery, desolate pits of Hades!

Why must the Packers have lost? What cruel twist of fate desires to wreak a terrible havoc on the Packers and Football?!

    Arrrgggghhhhh

    Crazed Rabbit

PS I'm almost hoping for a Giants victory, just so the Patriots get beat.

CR, why speak such blasphemous words? Don't hate on the Mannings just because they're making history.

Pffffft! The Pats have made enough history already in my book. These dynasties bore me. I may like them in their first Super Bowl, and maybe even their second one, but after that they can disappear into Loserville for a decade or so. Get some fresh blood in there. Of course, this anti-dynasty bias does not apply to my regular "love'em if they win or lose" teams, the Packers (#1) and Eagles (#2).

Bah, but more coal to feed into my great engine of rage!!

Gah, for that hapless Eli to beat the packers - with Farve having one of the best years, the team doing well, - why did it have to happen? I don't dare to dream of a Patriots style juggernaut, but winning this Superbowl - it was so close!
