Hum, n00b question.

I'm trying to use a diplomat on Jerusalem, but the AI actually answers my offers/demands (with a "we suspect you are wasting our time"). I think he isn't supposed to from what I understood. How do I know my offers/demands will really be sent to the player ? Maybe taking an AI spot has caused an issue.

Very interesting. You may have to wait until a full turn has passed for the game to completely 'wake up' to the fact that you're no longer an AI faction... but I'm no expert. The good thing about human players is that you can conduct the deal without regard to what the game actually says is going on.

Ok, I'll sort it out :) . If the problem persists, I may need some cooperation from other players. I think someone else took an AI position. He should be warned he might have the same issue.

Unfortunately you also forgot to hit the end turn button before you saved the game, which means when 00jebus loads that file you posted he gets your login screen instead of his...

I am at work so I can't log in and fix it right now, but I've asked Zim to do it.

If he is able he will re-post the save here in a while for 00jebus.

This means I had to give him your password - don't worry though, if you're uncomfortable with him knowing it (and in my experience he is very honest and trustworthy) I can reset it for you using the console before your next turn.

Well, first of all the game worked and the save wouldn't load, and it was suggested that I complete uninstall/reinstall, so I did, now the game won't even start.

Did you try clearing up your registry of any signs of medieval 2.

Are you having problems with any other games ?

Have you tried rebooting your computer (probably, but I ask this just in case).

Doh!

I don't have my wife's computer with wireless this week and for some reason I have trouble uploading decent sized files on dialup on my gaming computer (anything bigger than a screenshot shrunk to 70%, I've discovered through trial and error. ).

I can get someone to sub to get this thing moving, or visit a family member this weekend and bum their internet access for the upload.

DOes anyone have any preference?

I think Zim and I have concluded the essential terms of an alliance, so I could play his turn for him sometime tonight if everyone's okay with that. Just pm me some instructions Z, but FYI I haven't taken the Ghaznavid units for a spin, so I can't guarantee I'd do anything impressive.

Alternately if everyone is happier waiting, I'd be fine with that too.

Zim, my first preference is for you to nominate a sub and give them instructions, to keep the game moving and leave you in indirect control of your faction.

If you don't nominate, then I can do it as the GM (but I won't get to it for at least 12 hours time).

Or if you know that you'll definitely be able to upload the turn some time after the 48 hours, then I can grant you an extension given this probably counts as "extenuating circumstances".
