How do I get my soldiers to Ireland by boat?

I've tried everything (except maybe read the whole manual) I need to get to Ireland by sea, but i don't know how. Maybe I'm just a blockhead, but it doesn' seem that easy..

You can only travel by sea if you start in a province that hasa port.

Then you need to trace a line of boats through every sea area you need to travel through, and those areas must have no enemy boats in them.

Eg if you're trying to get there from Wales then you only head a boat in the Irish Sea.

If you're trying to get there from Finland yuo enad a boat in hte Baltic, another in Skagerak, another in the Nth Sea, another in hte Nth atlantic (I think it is) or one in the English Channel, and then one in hte Irish Sea.
