    Default BoK - Presentation

The mod Battles of Kingdom (BoK) is a total conversion mod for BI 1.6, focused on the Medieval/Crusades Era. You will be able to play one of the numerous factions with army typical of this era. The mod is realistic/Historic at 80%, because of some gameplay reasons, so we can said that the units are more historical than those from M2:TW for example.
All units are very detailled, modelized and textured. BoK forces the Rome engine to its limits. All the animations are modified and some (like animations for maces) are totally new. We will too modify the battlefield, the trees, the vegetation, skies for recreate an atmosphere and a gameplay worthy of competing M2:TW. We will add too new music and new buildings.
We hope to release the mod at the end of the year 2008.

    Faction list :

    Left to right :
First line : Kingdom of England, Kingdom of France, The Holy Roman Empire
Second line : Kingdom of Aragon, Crusader States, Kingdom of Italy
Third line : Kingdom of Sicily, The Papal States, Kingdom of Portugal
Fourth line : The Byzantine Empire, Kingdom of Hungary
Fifth line : The Kubilai Khan Khanate
Sixth line : The Seljukid Sultanate, The Ayyubid Sultanate, The Moors Sultanate
    Seventh line :The Abbassid Sultanate

It looks very good, but I have a few points to make.

    1. The Byzantine faction logo is quite inappropriate. The Byzantines used a yellow double-headed eagle on a red background in the Middle Ages. You have given them a purple background with a Karelian (Russian) cross, quite inappropriate and historically inaccurate.

    2. There was no such thing as the 'Kingdom of Italy' in real life. The Italians lived in individual city-states.

    3. Kublai Khan ruled an Empire in China. His armies never came anywhere near Europe.

    4. I like the number of new Islamic factions, but where are the other major European factions? Where are Denmark, Scotland, Poland, Novgorod, Kiev, Lithuania and the others?

Thanks for your comment. We will fix the Byzantine Empire symbol.

About the Kingdom of Italy, we now that it didn't really existed. But because of the engine limit we can't add the numerous little italian states, we have regrouped them into a "Kingdom of Italy", with units from all this little states.
We now it isn't realistic, but it's necessary for the gameplay.

About other factions like Denmark and the others, we will see if we can add them.

About the Kubilai Khan Empire, we needed to add a mongolian faction to recreat the Invasion of Baghdad and the Mongolians Invasions during the Crusades.

    Thanks again for you comments.

    Exelent work so far....
Medeival romans used the "labarum"as their imperial flag!
The "Eagle"was the personal "mark"of the Emperor him self at the last centuries!
