Damn mate. It's hard to lose someone, we all know it(even me!).
Remember, you lost the love relationship, but you didn't lost the friendship. You should be keeping an eye on her, like it was said in this thread.
Now, how do you feel? Are you ok? Do you need to keep venting? It's a good idea to do that.

I doubt there will be a friendship.

Me? I seem to be under control for the moment.

Running is also a great way to clear your head. And probably better if you're not used to intense physical exercise.

What are you doing up at nearly 2am Rythmic

I spent 4 hours with her yesterday...it was weird, but in so many ways. Good and bad. Half the time it was like nothing had changed, but...it sucks. lol.

    You really shouldn't man.

I'm trying to win her back because I did make her happy
but at the same time, I'm trying to get over her so she comes out of this ok
and I'm also trying to figure out what to do
while also trying to find out what she wants.

Just as an intermittent question while I research it, I was told by a guy at school who takes anti-depressants that they numb emotion, causing the person to wonder why they should be in a relationship.

They may describe this as a feeling of "not caring about anything anymore." All SSRIs, SNRIs, and serotonergic TCAs are liable to cause this effect to varying degrees, especially at higher dosages.
Looks like the next step is to find out what meds shes on now.

Anyone taking antidepressants should be closely watched for suicidal thoughts and behaviors. Monitoring is especially important if this is the person’s first time on depression medication or if the dose has recently been changed. Signs that medication is making things worse include anxiety, insomnia, hostility, and extreme agitation—particularly if the symptoms appear suddenly or rapidly deteriorate.

She just changed meds, she seemed to get irritable faster, she hasnt been able to sleep properly, she completely reveresed on how she felt in 24 hours. She was more angry than usual. I just hope I am over reacting.

Peve. You are a good man. Some things take time and dedication, some people lose sight of everything they have ever known and say things they don't mean, do things they don't intend to do.
She may be just going through an "episode" or it might be chronic, either way she has to ask herself if she actually ever was truly happy, and if being with you was something that she remembers as a good time, why would she ever give that up? ...I think perhaps her depressed mind came to the justification that she has to leave everything that reminds her of the sadness, you may win her back, you may not, but in the end both of you will learn an important life changing lesson.

Its the same sickness in part with Bi Polar. At times I just don't want to wake up anymore, I doubt my own competence, I wonder if the life I chose for myself was the right one (should I stay or should I go)... on the other hand (manic episodes) I don't ever want to sleep, I believe I am the greatest person who has ever walked the earth, I know the life I chose is preordained by god himself (my holy mission) etc. etc.

I try to keep a good sense of humour about it, and my life, but its difficult, and I'm not that strong. I need my wife, I need my daughters.

And whether your ex knows it or not, she needs you more than she knows. So please give her the benefit of the doubt first, but don't let her drag you down with her.

I shall take your advice with me Wakizashi.

She said she is taking the medication until the end of the year, then going off them. (so she can go get drunk on her after year 12 schoolies trip. To her homeland, New Zealand) She thinks she might want to try again then.

Turns out her medication causes weight gain. Which is good, a nearly 18 year old girl shouldnt weigh 41kg. She was pronounced annorexic by the doctor. So maybe that will pass as well.

Nothing to do but look at the funny side of it all, which is what i do best.
