I may not make it until Friday. To much to do and still waiting for answers from my allies.
    Is Piemont still playing?

Sorry for not answering. This week was a bad one for me. I'd still be in though, but time is a problem this week (ill + renovating + getting courses for first university week....)

In case there is nobody to command Austria, I can temporarily take over until Kage or another player (re-)appear.

P.S. Unfortunately, I don't think I will manage to run a full-time faction but I can try as a substitute.

You are more than welcome, Prince! However, Csargo is playing as Austria now. Maybe you can share the job with him!

Hi, I'm new and I'm looking to see if I can contact Kage. Is he on often anymore?

@ partofla Kages profile says he was on yesterday; try pming him.

@ Prince Cobra; ask Csargo... I think he'd welcome some help.

Just to clarify the map... As of 31st December 1844:
Sind is indeed British. They have also landed in modern day Angola.
Albania, Serbia, Kosovo, Bosnia, Montenegro and Sofia (to use todays terms) are currently Austrian.
Iasi, Ploiesti, Vidin, Craiova, Plovdiv, Burgas and Varna are Russian although there are 'partisans' between the garrisons.
    Bucharest is 'independant'.
Thessaloniki and modern day FYOM (Skopje) are Greek.
Edirne/Adrianople is occupied by Russia and Greece/Bavaria (the King of Greece being Bavarian).
Kesan (aprox 50 miles south of Adrianople) is occupied by Austria/Prussia.

Jaffa, Jerusalem, Beirut and Tartus are occupied by France.

Further east Kars, Artvin and Agri (modern day Karakose) are occupied by Russia.

A French expedition passed into the Indian Ocean but not all know where it was headed.

    Chapter 4 Preview!

As there are events that will occur before your orders can influence events 'in theatre' I have started writing Chapter 4 already. Names and places are omitted from this preview:

"By evening reports are coming in of contact with enemy forces in the north of the town. Barricades are manned. He can still hear fighting in the harbour and another 500 volunteers are sent to the harbour. By 10pm the harbour fighting has ended and 3 men return get back to report that the SOL and habour are lost..."

"...but what they see is some 50,000 Ottomans. They are immeadiately under cannon fire: "But those behind cried, "Forward!" And those before cried, "Back!"" to quote the Lays of Ancient Rome. A disaster ensues..."

"The SOL opens up in reply but a deperate fight ensues at the docks. The remaining cavalry and their horses are loaded on the first boat and before the second transport can get into the harbour an Ottoman assault is launched. Hand to hand and swordplay ensues"

A gentle hint to please send orders.

My sympathy. I will send the royal physician to look for you. In the meantime I will reign your realm as your substitute (just kidding!)

Prince Cobra can take over Austria if he wants. I'm also sorry that I haven't sent orders yet.

    Just my thoughts:

I think we need a permanent solution with Austria.

Csargo/ Prince Cobra as a team would be great, as both do not seem to have a lot of time. Maybe one can do the planning of the campaign against Otto and one can do diplomacy, socials things tec.

Any of both as single player would be great too, they are experienced and excellent players. If they do not have enough time - well it would not work. We would need a replacement.

If one of them just has little time and small presence, I think they could do either Ottoman or Egypt. I guess both countries are doing little diplomacy and most of the work would be just warfare.

    What do you think?

I agree that solution must be found for Austria... any ideas?

I don't think sharing a country is a good idea - hard to track down who does what, etc. I think Csargo/PC should evaluate their time availability and let us know if they can commit sustainably. Otherwise I would suggest they either pick something smaller - less time consuming, and we should find another player for Austria.

If they could at least let us know when they do have time: something along the lines of 'I have 3 hours on mondays and wednesdays.' Then we will know when and how to expect answers and send requests.

I have no problem with a shared Austria, nor with a single player as the Kaiser, as long as there's someone playing it lol
