Sound Stutter Fix (Possible)

Long story short: corrupted Bink32.dll causing the sound stutter issue.

Solution:
- Go to this thread
- Save the txt file as a .dll
- Put in Empire directory

Caveats:
- I have not tried it yet as I am at work
- It appears to fix ONLY the sound issue and not any video issues

I wonder if it will fix that scratchy drum sound when you zoom up close to a drummer.

Possibly, but Bink is an actual movie player, so I doubt it unfortunately.

I played through the Intro and one of the RTI videos, and it worked perfectly :-)

Thank you so much for posting this. If I had hair it would've been ripped out over the past week, at least in part because of this issue. I had tried reinstalling drivers, directx, switching sound cards... nothing worked.

I'll have to play RtI again now that I can watch the videos!

Yep, this fix worked well on the Intro videos.

I still get a bit of chop on the duel vidoes - but that can be lived with as I can at least follow what is going on.
