Thread: Twitter entry on "Moros"

    Default Twitter entry on "Moros"

"Reading up on the ethnicities and unique buildings of a very interesting new faction. - Moros"

This is intriguing - I assume "moros" stands for mauri or moors, ie a Numidian faction. Has the team decided to include this faction already, or is it merely being considered?

Moros is EB team's Belgian. While he is not busy eating waffles and drinking beer, he's researching on our secret factions.

    okay...

How on earth did I avoid finding out about twitter for so long? Still, it seems largely usless to me so I will continue to ignore it's existence.

Sorry to have derailed the thread, I'll be off now.

Hmmm, actually "Moros" means moron in Ancient Greek, but yeah he's an EB member.

Dunno, probably. But the word "Moros" (Μωρος in Greek), means moron.

It is pretty easy to guess what Moros is researching. Just search this very forum for the threads Moros has posted in.

Oaky I admit Bartix is in.

Edit: Now while I may be an idiot I rather named myself after a god. How vain, is it not?
He was the son of Erebus and Nyx and brother of Thanatos, Moros was appropriately the god of doom.

I think you may understand that what I said was nothing personal, I just happened not to know of that deity's existence

Well I must admit I dont know the archeology of Belgium but I think celtic tribes populated the area along the Iron Age, those peoples were La Téne affected (even some La Téne time invasions are known or identified as "Belgian migrations" along Europe, at least in some early studies in the s XX, for example this have been pointed to explain the existence of a called Nervii tribe in Norteast of Spain, and the autrigoni -there is even an study who showes a possible way from Belgia to Northern Spain followed by Autrigoni with a lot of -autry related toponimics) and lately known as the Belgae in the Roman time, and Cesar wrote about them (and fought them). May be they didnt call himself Belgae, but I guess they were the same people with probably that similar celtic culture influenced by the germani wich lately we knew better via Julius Caesar.

Then why are there Belgic units in Belgica?

Those are not the belgae, they are the ancestors of today's beer brewers.
Back then they distilled mythical brands such as old Gaesatae and solduros' iron...

Perhaps you should wonder why they become avaible after reforms. The belgae came to Britain in the 2nd Century BC. In the 5 century BC there had been a migration of La tene Celts though.
