Magnificent, but don't the carriages go through the farm near the road of Carthage?

I'd make a stop at the wine production centre too before I'd visit Carthage or Utiqa especially since there were no airco's in those "ferraris"

now i'm confused - so the northen part of the map will have medieval cities while the southern will have anciant ones?

a more serious note: isn't sardinia a bit flat? or does it simply look like this due to the perspective and the incomplete view of the island? (yes, nitpicking, i know)
    Gott mit dir, dem Bayernvolke,
    Daß wir unsrer Väter wert,
fest in Eintracht und in Friede
    bauen unseres Glückes Herd;
Daß der Freund da Hilfe finde,
    Wehrhaft uns der Gegner schau,
    Wo die Rauten-Banner wehen,
Unsre Farben – Weiß und Blau!

he´s clearly a nubian altough before the image was coloured it could give hints to many interpretations so i suspect axum or meroe will be a faction in the game unleass the culture limit remains wich in each case yes he´s probably going to be part of the semitic culture slot since the saba and lets hope the future nabateans will be able to recruit ethiopians for their armies

Aw, more of the conflation of 'eastern' units? Come on, you can do better than that! Kudos on the map though, stunning.

Hi sic, no the mod is definitely not dead. Just follow the team on twitter to check their latest updates. On the EBII forum home page you can see the teams development blog and sneak peak thread which gives futher insight into what the team is currently working on. There's even a previews thread detailing some factions and animations.

As it is your first post, and I'm not sure whether you're trolling or just an ESL, just letting you know that asking questions if the mod is dead/when will the mod be released/why isn't this faction in (with no evidence to your argument) is generally frowned upon. You need to remember that the team donates their own free time to make such an amazing mod.

So in saying that, welcome to the forums! Join in a few threads and conversations, gaze upon the magnificent previews and enjoy learning about the time frame which the game is set in.

Loving the progress, very enticing I must say.

The view of Roma was interesting and raised a question in my mind about port sizes.

IIRC in EB Rome could build to the largest port size, but I had a silly notion Ostia was rebuilt into a massive complex in the early Imperial period (sadly I recall this from I, Claudius and not my years of Classical history and Archaeology), after EB's timeframe, and previously it'd been a smaller affair.

Obviously Ostia was suitable to late Republican Rome's needs but my impression was it wasn't a naval hub like Carthage or Alexandria in the EB period.

I guess the explanation could be the historical "player" chose not to build the large port before 14 AD but the EB player has the choice to do so.

I'm not following if you meant that Ostia shouldn't be the port for Latium or whether its structure should be made up of stone or wood (also we don't even know if the port in the picture is going to be like that, at the start of the campaign)...
I think even Carthage's port, as is commonly viewed (structurally), dates after the second punic war; while as for traffic in Latium, Ostia was the most important one. Although I'm not sure, Capua and Neapolis might've had more activity...
