Title : Resident Evil: Dark Falls (ROLE PM- DO NOT DELETE)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cindy Bailey- atheotes
Town Defender
Strength: 4
Combat: 4 +1
Vitality: 4 +1
Speed: 4
Stealth: 4
Awareness: 4
Luck: 4 +1
You have 28 allocatable points to spend on your character. If you do not distribute these points, they will be arranged in the default fashion: 4 in each category, as you see here. You add 1 point to your luck, combat, and vitality stats as well, which helps. You cannot move those extra points around.
You also have an additional ability: You can "DEFEND" as an action. Any attacks directed toward the people in your group you're defending, except for sniper bullets (which you couldn't detect), will be directed toward you instead. Anyone on the same grid coordinate is protected by you.
Back story:
You are Cindy Bailey, a woman who once served in the United States Army. You want to help people, and now is your chance. Your objective is to get yourself and your fellow townspeople out of Dark Falls alive.
Your personal survival is your objective, but this is a team game. The more townies survive, the better your overall score. However, your personal score drops when you die.
Your best bet after that, if you become a zombie, is to go for a zombie victory and hope for the best. You have the ability to defend anyone who shares your grid location, because you have the necessary skills and reflexes.
Completing your mission:
You're not done until you personally escape from town. Take note that the town is surrounded by a massive stone wall with barbed wire on top of it, mountains to the north, a river to the south, and minefields, zombies, and rabid dogs.
There are only a few viable paths out of town, and they are hidden. The information to find those paths is scattered around town... contacting your fellow townspeople, working together, is the best way to gain enough knowledge to escape. There are locked doors, barricades in your way, and you'll need a certain key if you wish to escape the main way. There's also plenty of zombies, serial killers, plague demons, and murderous agents around town.
Goals:
1. Get out alive.
2. Destroy as many hostile forces as possible. Each hostile counts as a goal.
Hostiles include:
A) Las Plagas Creatures
B) Umbrella agents and mercenaries
C) SynTech agents and mercenaries
D) Serial Killers
E) El Gigante
F) Zombies
Saving yourself is more important than hunting down the enemy. But rest assured, the more hostile forces you destroy, the more townspeople will escape from this crazy mess, and the better your personal score at the end.
Scoring:
Based on Host's appraisal of how many of your goals are completed
and how much effort you put into it.
Decisive victory
Overwhelming victory
Major victory
Minor victory
Marginal victory
Draw
Marginal defeat
Minor defeat
Major defeat
Overwhelming defeat
Decisive defeat
Special Abilities:
You have the additional ability to "DEFEND" anyone who is standing in the same grid square as you, unless you tell me specifically that you do not wish to do so. This ability is automatic, and you do not need to do anything in order for it to take effect.
You do need to tell me, every single round, if you wish to not use this ability.
Why would you wish not to use it? Because if someone tries to use a "sniper" action against the person you're defending, it will hit you instead. Otherwise, there are no real negatives when using this ability.
You stop defending people when you run from battle. So if they stand their ground, the protection is no longer in effect. However, it is still in effect during that first round, or during first strikes, as you haven't run from battle yet. So you can run from battle and still be useful as a defender.
You automatically start protecting again in the next action phase.
Allies:
You have no allies at the start of the game.
Technically, all the townsfolk in the game are your allies, but you don't know which of them have been compromised by the Omega virus, and some of them are hostile to other townsfolk. In order to truly ally with them, you have to engage in "cooperation" mode and have them do the same, while standing next to each other.
Please remember not to contact anyone during the game unless they are standing next to you on the map, adjacent to you on the map, or you both have a two-way communications device. You're not telepathic, and this hindrance to your efforts is part of the balance and fairness of the game. Please keep it in mind.
Further information:
I will soon be sending out your
character card, which will give your location, current status, and any weapons or items you start with, as well as other pertinent details. The character card will be updated to reflect the events of every round of play. However your role PM can and should be saved and used as a reference about your character and your mission.

Title : Resident Evil: Dark Falls (ROLE PM- DO NOT DELETE)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Christine Ashcroft- Karo
Townsperson
Starts with detective skills
Strength: 4
Combat: 4
Vitality: 4
Speed: 4
Stealth: 4
Awareness: 4
Luck: 4
You have 28 allocatable points to spend on your character. If you do not distribute these points, they will be arranged in the default fashion: 4 in each category, as you see here. Plus you have an additional ability to "Detect" anything in your awareness range. If there is a hidden item, you will find it regardless of your "luck". You also can detect when someone near you is acting suspicious, with a very high degree of accuracy. However, some things escape your detection.
Because of your detective ability, you may wish to invest in "awareness", so you can "detect" more. But that is only a suggestion. Staying alive is also important.
Back story:
Your name is Christine Ashcroft, and you're a detective working for the Dark Falls Police Department.
Your detective skills allow you to check anyone in your awareness radius for signs of danger. You're very observant and can tell if someone means to help or to harm.

Special Abilities:
Detect
You have the ability to "Detect" anything in your awareness range. What this means is that you are able to detect the name of the player inside your awareness range, and if anyone is standing next to you, you have the ability to see whether or not they are really decent people, or if they are some sort of evil person, or a monster in disguise. This ability is automatic, and very rare. Your role is very important in helping your team win the game.
You will also be able to detect "rare" item locations. Some locations automatically allow you to search for rare items instead of the usual ones, regardless of luck. In short, you must survive at all costs, because your ability rules.

You have 28 allocatable points to spend on your character. If you do not distribute these points, they will be arranged in the default fashion: 4 in each category, as you see here.
Plus you have an additional ability to find and properly identify "herb" items at a rate of 50% of the time, if you choose to search. You will be able to locate more herb items than anyone else... perhaps you could trade these herbs to others for some weapons, or use them to heal people, or boost your own stats.
Back story:
You are Dr. Annette Cerota, and you worked at SynTech Systems as a botanist in the biological research department. But ever since the accident, your objective has simply been to get yourself and your fellow townspeople out of Dark Falls alive. Your personal survival is your objective, but this is a team game. The more townies survive, the better your overall score. However, your personal score drops when you die. Your best bet after that, if you become a zombie, is to go for a zombie victory and hope for the best.
Your botany skills assist you in locating useful plants which can be turned into helpful items or weapons.

Special Abilities:
Botanist
You have the ability to locate herbs 50% of the time,
as long as you "Search" as your action.

I will soon be sending out your

When the viral outbreak happened, you were one of the ones who were able to escape from the initial zombie swarm by your reflexes and sprinting ability.
Your personal survival is your objective, but this is a team game. The more townies survive, the better your overall score. However, your personal score drops when you die. Your best bet after that, if you become a zombie, is to go for a zombie victory and hope for the best.
None at present.
