Default Some Weird but surprisingly tasty Vegetable Recipes

Fried Tofu-dough stuffed with Mushrooms and Cabbage, and Tofu - Green Peas - Mushrooms - and Onion... all in one soup, that's my lunch today, and dinner this night (just eating it while I write this thread)

Yep... it was all happened when I open my fridge, and Alas... only vegetables left... no eggs, and no meats or fish.... and for worse, I have a lot of vegetables, that must quickly used, if not, they are spoiled....

So, with anything left in my kitchen... (coupled with my lazyness to run towards the nearest supermarket), I decide to create myself a forced vegetarian recipes... that was surprisingly tasty, so I want to share that with all of you...

    3) Add salt and clove powder, mix until they formed near - uniform dough, and then add the chili (small slices)
    4) Made some disc from those dough, and fry them on hot melted margarine... fry until light brown and crispy
    5) Add some blackpaper on top of it, serve with hot rice.. it was my lunch today

I think it needs more, like... 10 large red chili's, or those little tiny red ones that will blow your head off. about 100 of those sucka's. I guess thats a perk of living in little mexico USA, I get a ton of spicey foods.

    Looks tasty.

We grow these in our garden, super tasty with a pretty good kick (about twice as spicy as tabasco).

Yeah... but I use less spicy variety, that was larger as well... but adding them is only good if you want to add some meat.... vegetables are not too comfortable with super tasty chili

Next time you run out of proper food, just tell me and I'll give you a goat to eat

And yeah, if I were you, I'll add more chili to your dishes.

I am actually going to try Weird Vegetable Soup if for no other reason than the name is spirited.

I figure the ingredients will cost me about 6 dollars. If I am not satisfied, you owe me 6 dollars.

It was actually a very cheap meal here in Indonesia (well, I'll explain the price difference now)

    - two lump (about 200 gr) of mashed tofu
--> Tofu is definitely a cheap things in Indonesia... they are about Rp 2000 per ounce, so total will be approximate Rp 4000 ($ 0.4)

    - a glass full of frozen green peas (about 200 gr)
--> He often stock frozen green peas in plastic bags... it was priced Rp 2500 per ounce, so total will be approximate Rp 5000 (S 0.5)

    - a big onion (about 150 gr)
--> Onions are really cheap thing in Indonesia, well, especially the big bombay onion... it was priced Rp 1000 each ($0.1)

    - a bowl full of black ear mushrooms (about 200 gr)
--> It is common Asian mushroom, priced Rp 1500 per ounce so total Rp 3000 ($ 0.3)

    - some garlic
--> He must used his spare garlic from backyard... it was common spices here (free)

    - some chili
--> He probably pick that from his backyard (free)

    - and some coconut gravy (about 200 ml)
--> And that thing is cheap (Rp 2000) ($ 0.2)

so all he need for his soup is only worth $ 1.5 ..... and you say it was $ 6

Problem is that these ingredients are far more expensive in the United States than in Indonesia,

Most of the flattish-thinnish fungi are virtually tasteless anyway, and only serve to add texture. Replace with something else crunchy, or just do without.
