    Default Napolean Demo on Steam

So I just got a new work laptop (Thinkpad R500). I had a voucher for Best Buy that was about to expire so I went ahead and bought Napolean (I actually wanted Empire but it wasn't available)

Systemrequirements says I can play the game, but I thought I would check out the demo first. I just finished downloading the demo, but when I doubleclick it, Steam says it's launching the program, then nothing.

Steam is the only thing installed on this machine. I was going to transfer files this weekend, but had a frustrating evening with Windows "Easy" Transfer. I thought checking out Napolean would improve my night.

Could it be a Direct X issue? How much risk is there in opening up the store-bought package and installing the full game (ie should I just give up and return the game)?

Chris (a Steam virgin - but unimpressed so far...)

Nevermind. It was DirectX. Looks pretty good. I look forward to getting into this game.

    I sincerely apologize to Steam...
