Game Description:

Large Mafia Game
40+ players
Standard Day/Night phases
Town, Neutral, and Mafia factions
Pro-town team not overpowered
Investigation roles are not 100% effective
Many players are basic townies
Secret roles, hidden twist

Write-up description

Each Day and Night phase will feature a different Planet or Location in the Lylat System and beyond
Game will feature a storyline plot, the ending of which is determined by the outcome of the game
Each writeup will include IMAGES and MUSIC.
Each writeup will advance the storyline
Removed: Write-up clues. No puzzles or hints in these. (Focus should be on standard mafia solving techniques)
Upon death: Those who die will be named, and their alignment will be revealed.

GAME RULES

1. The game does not involve any unusual rules, such as:

The game host (Askthepizzaguy) being a player/lynchable
unknown players being able to participate
inverted win conditions (such as death being victory, or don't lynch anyone results in victory)

so this is not a gag or gimmick game.

2. Win conditions for the Town-aligned factions:

Destroy the Big Bad, and any other hostile forces.
Try to fulfill your personal goal(s).

3. Win conditions for the Neutral-aligned factions:

Destroy the Big Bad, survive the game.
Try to fulfill your personal goal(s).

4. Win conditions for the rest:

See your role PM.

5. Minimum level of participation:

If you do not vote three rounds in a row, you will be sent out of this dimension by the angry, wrathful hand of God, and will be removed from the game and will automatically finish with the lowest possible score and rank dead last. This can be averted under extenuating circumstances by contacting me and letting me know why you will be inactive and when you will be back. I may still be forced to replace you temporarily.

6. Voting procedure:

If you wish to vote to lynch someone, post Vote: Askthepizzaguy
If you wish to vote for someone new, post Unvote, vote: Sasaki Kojiro
If you do not BOLD your vote, it does not count.
If you do not unvote your previous vote, your new vote does not count.
If you edit a post with your vote in it, the vote still counts.
However, if you edit your post to change your vote, you WILL be removed from the game. Do not edit your votes. Make a new post. You can edit other parts of your post, but not the vote part.

7. Role revealing

DO NOT REVEAL YOUR ROLE PRIVATELY TO ANYONE. Do not say who you are. Do not hint who you are.
If you wish to make a role reveal, you MUST do it PUBLICLY, in this very thread.
You are allowed to quote your role PM in this public thread. Yes, the entire thing. But only here.
This means no email, no private message, no other forums, no telephone, no chats, and no writing messages in the sky. Doesn't matter how, you will not reveal your role privately.

8. Private communication

You can communicate privately to anyone, if you wish. DO NOT reveal your role this way.

9. Exceptions:

If you are told by the game host that you know what someone else's role is, then you are able to contact them privately and talk about it that way.

10. Illegal moves:

Do not intentionally mess with the vote tally. I will warn you the first time, then ban you. (Don't worry about making tallies for me, I will do my own count. You can do an unofficial tally for yourselves.)
Do not reveal information that is not publicly available after you die. Your actions during the night phases, other people's actions, your role, your role PM, communications from the game host, even things you heard as a rumor privately... don't talk about them, don't confirm them when others say them. If you speak after death, you may only refer to IN-THREAD information.

I am going to quote from Seamus Fermanagh’s rules from Capo II on this one, with a few edits:
The dead may post, but not vote/select nor carry out any night actions. Dead players may not reveal their roles publicly or privately and may not reveal their faction or role particulars either. Dead players may not quote from a PM unless that PM has been posted in the public thread by a living player. Dead players may not reveal, recount or allude to their previous night actions (or results thereof in the case of investigations) publicly or privately – even to confirm a previously made public or private reveal. Your participation must be circumspect, but your continued participation IS encouraged.

No screenshots may be used, from or to anyone, for ANY purpose – this includes during PMs. Feel free to quote from player's PMs to you or to fabricate as you see fit. You may NOT quote my PMs. Chatlog conversations may be referenced/quoted, but may not be copied via screenshot. Note: it can be difficult to maintain role secrecy during chat conversations.
"Suicide" will not be allowed in this game (it is possible to create an unplayable game with nothing but suicide pact challenges going on. This is not the intended mode of play for this game). Players who must remove themselves from play for schedule reasons should send me a PM. I will then write them out of play.

11. I reserve the right to amend these rules and your role at any time. However, I won't do that unless it pertains to game balance (rules) or how I originally designed your role to play out (new role and win conditions, triggered by certain events). The role you start with may change depending on circumstances beyond your total control.

12. The Big Bad (main enemy of the game)

This is the role that the Town and Neutral factions start off opposing.
The Big Bad could be anyone.
There may be more than one Big Bad... or just one, depending on what happens.

13. Sportsmanship, player etiquette, having fun:

This is just a game. If you win, you don't win anything, and no matter how awesome you are, you did not win based solely on your own actions. Random chance, and other player decisions, are what influence the outcome more than your awesome skills.
Don't take it too seriously. This may be the internet, but this game is not SERIOUS BUSINESS.
Breaking the rules, however, is SERIOUS BUSINESS.
Don't hate anyone for accusing you.
Don't do personal attacks. You can criticize strategy or suggest people are guilty. Don't call them dumb, or anything similar.
Avoid profanity and stay within forum rules. I expect you've read the rules when you joined the forum, and the rules are posted plainly here and especially in the gameroom itself (Read this before playing...)

EDIT: ADDENDUM-

14. pevergreen's name is pevergreen with a lowercase p, but frankly I am tired of hearing about it.

If pevergreen wants to correct people about the not-capitalization of his name, he can do it privately.
If people want to ask him about why that is so, they can do it privately.
I am sooooo tired of seeing this exercise repeat every single game... clogging up the thread with posts about capitalization of names. This bartender says: "Take it outside.''

Post 119 of the Game thread

Corneria. Fourth planet of the Lylat System.

The Evil Andross turned this once thriving system into a wasteland of near-extinction. General Pepper of the Cornerian Army was successful in exiling this maniacal scientist to the barren, deserted planet Venom. Five years later, General Pepper noticed strange activity coming from Venom. James McCloud, Pigma Dengar, and Peppy Hare of the StarFox team were sent to investigate. Upon their arrival, Pigma betrayed the team, and James and Peppy were captured by Andross. Peppy barely escaped Venom and returned home to tell James' son Fox about his father's fate.

A few years pass, and Andross had invaded the Lylat system again. General Pepper turned to a new StarFox team headed by Fox McCloud to save Corneria, and free the Lylat system once again.

Flashback:

Andross: I've been waiting for you, Star Fox.

Andross: You know that I control the galaxy.

Andross: It's foolish to come against me.

Andross: You will die, just like your Father.

Fox McCloud: Say your prayers, Andross!!!

Andross: HA HA HA.... YOU CAN NEVER DEFEAT ME!!!!

Andross: ARRRGGGHHHHHH!!!!! If I go down, I'm taking you with me!!!

Fox McCloud: Sorry to jet, but I'm in a hurry!

Time passes.....

Corneria, five years later.

A team of ruthless mercenaries known as Star Wolf has been raiding Cornerian trade convoys. Daring and elusive, the Wolfen pilots have been using the Meteo asteroid field as a base from which to launch attacks, and return to hiding. The Cornerian Army cannot send their fleet into the asteroid field, so General Pepper dispatches Fox McCloud and the rest of the Star Fox team to investigate.

During their mission, the Star Fox team was ambushed by Star Wolf. It seemed as though they came out of nowhere. Some of the Arwings were disabled.

Wolf O'Donnell: It looks like WE win today, Star Fox.

Star Fox and his team fled from the asteroid field and attempted to return back to Corneria, with Star Wolf in hot pursuit.

Wolf O'Donnell: Trying to limp back home? Hahahaha...... Can't let you do that, Star Fox!!!

Leon Powalski: Come here, Falco. I'll take care of you.

Andrew Oikonny: Slippy Toad.... I think I'll do the entire fan base a favor and vaporize you. Stick to the Pond, Froggy!

The StarFox team was about to be wiped out by Star Wolf, until a vortex opened in space, near the battle. From the center of the vortex came a cluster of homing missiles, heading straight toward StarFox and Star Wolf.

Wolf O'Donnell: What the heck?

The missiles streaked toward their targets. Things were getting desperate, until a lone voice rang out across the comm channel....

Peppy Hare: To barrel roll, press Z or R twice..... Now, DO A BARRELL ROLL!!!

Using this awesome maneuver, Star Fox and Star Wolf were able to avoid being hit by the enemy missiles.

Wolf O'Donnell: No way! I don't believe it!

Peppy and Fox streaked towards Corneria, with the missiles right on their tail. Peppy and Fox were able to try a somersault and then were able to shoot down the enemy missiles. Things didn't fare as well for Falco and Slippy, who were forced back into the Meteo asteroid field, where they attempted to evade the missiles.

Slippy Toad: Incoming enemy missile!

Falco Lombardi: Bogey behind me. Am I gettin' slow?

Slippy Toad: Ahhh!!! I'm hit!

Falco Lombardi: Something's wrong with the G-diffuser.

The Star Fox team had been separated. Star Wolf managed to escape, and Wolf O'Donnell vowed revenge against whoever had attacked him, and denied O'Donnell his final victory over Star Fox. Above Corneria, more vortexes began to appear, and from these wormholes came even more missiles... all aiming at Corneria itself. The people of Corneria were now in mortal danger. This attack was repeated all across the Lylat System.... even the remnants of the former Venomian army were targeted. But who could have done this? Why were they trying to destroy everyone? Somewhere in the Lylat system, a sinister, dark villain had emerged.... and this time, NO ONE was safe....

This is the basic town and basic neutral role PM, which can be used as a cover role by anyone who wishes to do so. You could also use it as a template to forge your own role PM.

Role reveals should always be taken with a grain of salt.

The Cornerian Army is one of the main military forces of Corneria, used to patrol and protect the Lylat System from any and all threats. Squadrons of these soldiers have been dispatched to various areas of the Lylat System to keep the peace. In Star Fox 64, the Army is quickly overpowered by the unexpected invasion from the until then unheard of Venomian Army. The Cornerian Army, during that time, had control over Corneria, Sector Y, Katina and Fichina, and they usually managed to endure until Star Fox came to the rescue. During the time of Star Fox: Assault, the Cornerian Army is able to hold it's own fighting rebelling forces, giving Star Fox time to go in after Andrew Oikonny. It is assumed that they, like the Cornerian Defense Force, were severely beaten trying to stop the sudden invasion of the powerful Aparoids. The Cornerian Army base on Katina was among the first victims of the Aparoid invasion. General Pepper retired and turned his job over to Peppy Hare by the time of Star Fox Command, in which the army must again try to defend Lylat from a quick invasion from a powerful enemy, in this case, the Anglars. Several members of the Cornerian Army are playable in this game, including Bill Grey and Dash Bowman. Also, in this game, Krystal joins the Cornerian Army before defecting to Star Wolf. She takes her fighter with her, although she paints it pink. It is identical to Bill's ship.

The Venomian Army sometimes referred to as Androssians, was the army of the planet Venom which operated under the control of Andross. The army was destroyed by both the Cornerian Army and the Star Fox Team at the end of the Lylat Wars, although small groups of it remained at least up to the time of the Aparoid Invasion. These groups were kept at bay during those times, being forced to stay on Fortuna as a last resort before the Aparoids invaded.

Team: Venomian Assault Force
Victory: Neutral

It is in your best interest to remain alive. As a neutral, you can only win if your team (VAF) outnumbers the Cornerian team (CDF) at the end of the game, or if you survive the game, or if your alignment changes and you get new win conditions.

Personal Objective: The Venomian Assault Force must outnumber the Cornerian Defense force by the end of the conflict. Your personal survival adds to this.

Incoming enemy fighters!

Prepare for launch.

General Pepper: The remnants of the former Venomian Army have decided to launch an all-out assault on Corneria! Fox, if you can hear me, report back to Corneria at once and help repel the invaders! They're everywhere, Fox!

Fox McCloud: I'm on it, general. But two members of my team are missing.... I'll do my best.

Stage One: Corneria.

Good luck!

Over the capital city, a swarm of Venomian fighters were engaged in a dogfight with Cornerian fighters. The Venomians had painted their ships the same color as the Cornerians, and were emitting a scrambling frequency to prevent identification. It was hard to tell good ships from the bad. Bill Grey, commander of the elite Bulldog and Husky Units, was attempting to discern which ship was which, using his keen eye and extensive experience. Several of the Cornerian fighters were firing at each other in confusion.

Bill Grey: Bulldog Unit 34, that's an allied fighter! Disengage immediately!

He turned and saw another fighter ignore an enemy vessel, and barked orders to that ship.

Bill Grey: Husky Unit 16, that's an enemy fighter. You're authorized to attack!

Even though he was doing a good job identifying allied vessels and enemy vessels, most of the Cornerian fighters were missing their targets. It was so bad, that the Venomian fighters were attacking each other as well.

Bill Grey: All units, hold the perimeter! Hang on guys, help is on the way!

Fox McCloud: You rang?

Bill Grey: Fox, you made it!

Fox McCloud: Just like old times.

Bill Grey: Bulldog Unit, delta formation! Husky Unit, gamma formation! That should help us identify allied ships.

Peppy Hare: They're heading for the Cornerian Capital building! Don't let 'em through!

Bill Grey: Husky Unit, cover the base!

Fox McCloud: Emergency Maneuvers! Get outta there!!!

The capital building of the Cornerian government was destroyed by enemy missiles. In the explosion, many Cornerian fighters and several Venomian fighters were incinerated. The Venomian fighters disengaged from the battle, leaving orbit of Corneria itself and disappearing into the nearby asteroid field. Fox, Bill, and Peppy were able to escape from the blast.

Peppy Hare: Doggone it!

Fox McCloud: We'll find whoever did this, and we'll make them pay for it.

Bill Grey: I'm counting on you Fox. Go do us proud.

Fox McCloud: I'll do my best.

MISSION FAILED.

Post 260 of the Game Thread

Night Phase One

Meteo Asteroid Field

pevergreen was piloting his starfighter through the Meteo asteroid field, attempting to get to the planet Fortuna, on the other side. He was looking forward to making repairs on his ship and getting a hot meal after the disastrous battle on Corneria. His starfighter zipped easily between the dangerous asteroids at speeds that would boggle the mind of the average Cornerian. He did his usual status report.

"pevergreen here. No problems."

Suddenly, his communications system went haywire. His comm signal was being jammed by an unknown source. Cold sweat began to pool down his back, and his hands began to tense up. He looked at his sensor panel, and nothing showed up on the screen.

"Fortuna base, come in! Allied craft, please respond....... Do you copy? EMERGENCY MANEUVERS!!!"

Suddenly, from behind a large asteroid, pevergreen spotted a vessel approaching from the rear. Brilliant red plasma streaked past pever's ship. Reacting instinctively, pevergreen executed a barrel roll to try to avoid being hit. Then he swerved behind the nearest asteroid and attempted to do a vertical loop to evade his attacker. However, the unknown attacker reversed thrusters and waited for pevergreen to come out of the vertical loop. Now pevergreen was right in its sights.

"I've got you now...."

Red plasma struck pevergreen's engines and his starfighter stalled. The reactor exploded, sending pevergreen adrift. A second blast ripped away the entire starboard half of pevergreen's vessel. All pevergreen could do was smash his instrument panels with his fists in frustration and panic. Then he looked up and saw a bright burst of plasma headed straight for his cockpit.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!"

Sector Y

Death is Yonder piloted his craft through the Sector Y nebula, on his way toward the base on Planet Katina. There was heavy ion storm activity which required skillful piloting and heavy shielding in order to avoid being damaged. Fortunately Death is Yonder had both of those things in ample supply.

"Katina Base, this is Death is Yonder. I should be arriving in orbit at approximately 0900 hours tomorrow. Do you copy?"

The ion activity greatly increased, and soon a gravitational vortex began to open directly off of his starboard bow. Death is Yonder immediately tried to execute evasive maneuvers, but his engines couldn't overpower a gravity well of this magnitude.

"Katina Base, this is Death is Yonder. I'm being pulled into a gravity well! Mayday, Mayday, all ships in the area, please assist!"

There was nothing Death is Yonder could do. He was soon pulled inside the vortex. The scene inside was indescribable chaos.... there was a vast quantity of space debris. Metal girders, titanium plating, asteroid clusters, and ship debris was being spun around at enormous sub-light speeds. The maelstrom was horrifying to witness... and there was nothing the tiny starfighter could do once it was trapped inside the spinning vortex. Death is Yonder saw a massive metal beam moving in his direction, and there was no time and no way to evade collision.

"AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!"

General Pepper: Fox, the fleet is under attack... I need you to escort our cruisers through Sector Y safely. Help us out here!

Fox McCloud: Roger, General. I'll be on the lookout for enemy ships. Don't worry, your fleet is safe with me!

Stage Two: Sector Y.

Good luck!

You can watch this video for fun, but it doesn't quite fit into the story. Might provide good background noises though.

Fox McCloud: Let's back up the squadron.

Peppy Hare: Incoming enemy fighters!

Fox McCloud: There's too many of them. We could sure use some support out here, General.

General Pepper: All fighter units, scramble. Defensive formations... protect the cruisers!

Peppy Hare: They're on me! I'm gettin' careless!

Fox McCloud: I'll be right there, Peppy.

Peppy Hare: Your father helped me like that, too!

Fox McCloud: Here comes the cavalry. All right fellas, let's split up and take it to 'em!

Cornerian pilot: All wings report in.

Bill Grey: It looks like you could use some help, Fox.

Night Phase Two

Meteo Asteroid Field

choxorn was piloting his starfighter through the Meteo asteroid field, trying to get to Katina the quickest way: via the hyperspace warp hidden in the asteroids. He noticed some space wreckage nearby that looked suspiciously like a Venomian starfighter. He slowed his speed, and set sensors to maximum, and darted from behind one asteroid to the other, trying not to be spotted. In the distance, he spotted some craft he did not recognize. Thinking quickly, he shut down all engines and all systems besides life support and thrusters, and put his ship into a drift mode. A quick tap on the stabilizers threw him off his axis, and within seconds, he looked like an ordinary piece of space debris. With no lights or EM activity, the ship was dark and sensors wouldn't be able to easily detect it.

This was a difficult maneuver, but his years of training helped prepare him for this moment. He kept a keen eye out for any large, fast moving asteroids, and simply accepted the damage his vessel was taking from the dust and rocks that were colliding with his ship. It would look rough when it was all over, but the ship would hold together.

choxorn spotted a large asteroid off in the distance, and did a quick calculation in his head. He pressed on his forward thrusters to knock him slightly out of the roll and in the direction of the large asteroid. When he got near, he turned on the navcomputer and estimated the distance to target. He found a nice crater which would serve as a relatively safe place to land. When he had almost crashed into the asteroid, he quickly tapped on the stabilizers and came out of the roll, then he lowered the landing gear and turned the stabilizers vertical. Once he touched down on the asteroid, he would have to keep the stabilizers on at a low thrust setting, so that he could cling to the surface of the asteroid in this near-zero gravity situation. The gas from the thrusters would look exactly like thermal vents.

After an hour of clinging to the surface of the asteroid, he turned on his sensor equipment and the cabin heater, since his instrument panels were starting to freeze up. After several rotations of the asteroid, he was able to tell that any ships in the area had left. It was time to leave. He switched off the stabilizers and safely drifted away from the large asteroid, and headed straight for the warp rings. They were only about 30,000 kilometers away. Choxorn turned on the deflector shield and eased his vessel out of the densest part of the asteroid field, and fired up his main thruster to maximum. Within minutes, he was at the warp.

choxorn drifted into the first warp ring, and felt a burst of speed as the ship was magnetically propelled forward to the next warp ring. He hit the next warp ring and angled himself to the next one, gaining speed at a significant rate of acceleration. The magnetic rings caused the ship to spin, so choxorn held on for dear life, and switched his inertial dampeners to maximum. The stars outside his cockpit were spinning around so fast that they were nothing more than white blurry rings. He felt the ship shudder as it passed through magnetic rings four, five, and six.... Suddenly, his instrument panels lit up red, and alarms and warning signals went off.

DANGER. DANGER. SUBSPACE ANOMALY DETECTED.

At this rate of speed, and the fact that he was spinning at a rate of 300 revolutions per second, there was no way his little ship could reverse momentum and ease out of the warp zone in time. He was heading straight for the anomaly at 3,000 kilometers per second, and there was nothing he could do about it. He switched on his comm system and sent out one last distress call.

Choxorn: Blue 11 is heading into a subspace anomaly! Blue 11 is heading into a subspace anomaly! If I don't make it.... tell my wife.... I love her....

When choxorn entered the anomaly, he was moving too fast to see a great interruption of the space-time continuum; a massive gravity well. All manner of space debris and matter were being flung around at near-light speed. His sensors detected that the center of the anomaly had relatively normal space, and the navcomputer automatically adjusted the ship's thrusters to compensate, and angle it toward normal space, directly down the center of the vortex.

However, sensors also detected a large object being hurtled down the center of the vortex.... a missile with a proton-antiproton warhead. With no way to stop the momentum of his vessel, all he could do was take his chances in the outer edge of the gravity well, and hope he could pull himself back in time. But even though he narrowly missed the proton-antiproton missile, he was flying out of control toward the edges of the well, where there was nothing but chaos, gravity, matter, velocity, and death. He only had seconds left to live.

choxorn: THIS IS TOTALLY LAAAAAAAAAAAAAME!!!!

shlin28: You don't recognize me, yet, you ignorant little worm? I'm known throughout the galaxy! I've even handed you defeat before, during the Battle of Corneria! My legend only continues to grow.... and soon, you will be relegated to the dustbin of history!

Peppy Hare: I don't show any energy readings. This one must have one heck of a cloak.

shlin28: My energy is OVER 9000. Your scanners can't see it because you've got obsolete sensors. Maybe you should fly home before it is too late, and upgrade your ships! Hahahaha!

Fox McCloud: ......Thanks for the advice, but I'll take my chances. When did you say you defeated me, again?

shlin28: You don't remember me? I am insulted! And when I get insulted it angries up my blood! I am that which swallows entire star systems in the blink of an eye! I am the crown prince of chaos, the duke of doom, the sultan of sexy! I am your worst nightmare incarnate! Are you prepared for your death, Star Raccoon?

Fox McCloud: I already told you, it's "Star Fox". And yeah, I'm kind of curious to see what you look like now.

shlin28: That's a foolish, foolish mistake! It will be your last and most dire mistake! You're a fool, a foolish fool! Now I shall do you the honor of ending your miserable life!!!

Fox McCloud: I'm waiting....

shlin28: Hold on just a minute... I'm still speechifying! Don't rush me, don't rush me.

Fox McCloud: What's wrong? All talk?

shlin28: No. No I definitely have the power to back up these awesome words of doom. This is your last chance to escape with your life!

Peppy Hare: I spot him, Fox, he's hiding behind this asteroid.

shlin28: Uh....... pay no attention to the man behind the asteroid.

Fox McCloud: Here I come!

shlin28: Ok, I'm going to leave you alone with the big bad scary guy. Obviously you two will want some time to yourselves. I'll just be going now....

Peppy Hare: Oh no you don't! I'm not letting you get away from me!

shlin28: Ok, you asked for it! I'll destroy you with my death ray! Pew pew pew!

Fox McCloud: "Pew pew pew?"

shlin28: Yes, that's my death ray. Just you wait, as soon as I hit you with it, you'll be blown to smithereenies!

Peppy Hare: "Smithereenies?"

shlin28: Yeah! Totally! Pew pew pew!

Fox McCloud: You're not even firing at us.

shlin28: YOU CAN'T SEE MY DEATH RAY! NOT UNTIL IT IS TOO LATE TO BEG FOR MERCY!!!!

Fox McCloud: I don't believe you.

shlin28: Fine, I'll fire my plasma cannon at you.

*Zap..... Zap..... Zap*

Peppy Hare: Do a barrel roll!

Fox McCloud: Wooo, that was too close. That little thing almost got me!

shlin28: Uh.... that's right! And if you think you got a nasty taunting this time, you ain't seen nothing yet! Your mother was a hampster, and your father smelt of elderberries!!!

Fox McCloud: Ok, I've had just about enough of you. Hold still and let me shoot you.

shlin28: You cannot defeat me! I am the greatest villain you've ever faced! I'm known throughout the galaxy! I have hundreds of starships just waiting to come to my aid and blast you to bits!

Fox fires his hyper laser at the small craft. The ship is instantly disabled, and adrift.

Fox McCloud: Piece of cake.

shlin28: You haven't seen the last of me! I will have my revenge and stuff!

Peppy Hare: Enjoy your flight.

shlin28: I'm the greatest villain you've ever faced! I will crush you like bugs! I am the crown prince of chaos, the duke of doom, the sultan of sexy! I am shlin28, and you haven't seen the last of meeeeeeeeee!

Fox McCloud: Let's keep looking for Falco and Slippy.

Peppy Hare: Right behind you, Fox.

shlin28: What are you doing? You can't just leave me here like this! I'll starve to death! You big meanies! You aren't heroes after all, you're just big meanies.

Fox McCloud: Sorry to jet, but I'm in a hurry!

shlin28: Wait! Wait! I was just kidding! I don't really work for Andross, I was just bluffing! I am not a bad guy, I was just very, very scared to fight StarFox! I just wanted you to leave me alone! Don't leave me!

Fox and Peppy blast off to another part of the asteroid field. Meanwhile, shlin28 is drifting toward the densest part of the field.... where he sees small, planetoid-sized rocks bouncing off of one another.

shlin28: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

A very large asteroid is heading for shlin28's starfighter, moving at a relative speed of 500 kilometers per hour.

shlin28: I have a bad feeling about this.....

shlin28: YOU GUYS WERE VERY MEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!!

MISSION COMPLETE.

Night Phase Three

Fortuna- Former Defense Post

Chaotix and his squadron made it to Fortuna, the planet on the other side of the Meteo Asteroid field. Their group arrived ahead of all the others. Before enterting orbit, Chaotix noted that there were no radio transmissions coming from the base. He ordered his squadron to be cautious as they began their descent.

Chaotix: Blue 7 to Fortuna base, come in please.

Chaotix noted that there were powerful ice storms over Fortuna base, and that was a possible explanation for the radio silence. But there shouldn't have been any ice storms at all; Fortuna was a terraformed world. It should have been a lush, green paradise, with climate controlled, gentle rain falling precisely on schedule. Ice storms shouldn't exist on this planet. Perhaps the atmospheric control systems were malfunctioning. Chaotix became very nervous as he realized there was something very wrong here.

Chaotix: Blue squadron, stay in close formation and prepare to return to orbit on my command. Something's not right here.

As they broke through the clouds, Chaotix saw a scene of utter chaos. There was a horrendous blizzard, and Fortuna base appeared abandoned. There were dozens of fighters engaged in maneuvers around the base, firing weapons at each other. One of the starfighters broke off from the main group and went straight for Blue Squadron, firing brilliant red plasma directly at the Cornerian fighters.

Chaotix: Evasive maneuver Gamma Three! Pull up! All craft pull up!

Immediately, his group performed a Cornerian Starburst maneuver. The fighters positioned themselves into a star, and performed a barrel roll, then split off in five different directions. Some of the craft took damage from the plasma fire, but made it back behind the clouds. Blue 7 wasn't so lucky, as his position in the formation demanded that he pull his craft directly toward the planet's surface before doing a U-turn and escaping behind the clouds. During the maneuver, Blue 7 took serious damage and Chaotix's cockpit began to fog up. The cabin was exposed to the atmosphere due to hull microfractures; there would be no way that Chaotix could escape back into space.

The situation was grim. Chaotix's vessel streaked toward the planet's surface, spinning rapidly to deflect incoming fire. At the last moment Chaotix pulled out of the spin, and leveled off his craft, and headed straight for Fortuna Base. The starfighter that fired on him was close behind.

This party is by invitation only, and you're not on the guest list.

I can't shake this guy....

Perhaps you should have stayed on Corneria, where you belong. This is our base now.

This planet is under Cornerian jurisdiction! Attacking one of our bases means war!

Your base? Hardly. We didn't attack your base. It wasn't in Cornerian hands when we found it. You couldn't even keep it out of the hands of pirates and petty thieves.

Who attacked us? What happened to the base?

I'm not going to do all the work for you. Surely you could have figured it out by now. And although I have enjoyed our chat, I'm afraid it is time for you to leave.

I can't leave. Your plasma fire caused microfractures to appear on my hull; if I go into space I won't survive.

Katina- Frontline Base

Romanic was heading towards Katina, responding to a distress call from the base. Duty-bound to respond, Romanic double-checked his damaged systems and dropped out of warp.

Romanic: I'll be there soon!

On the other side of the warp corridor, he noticed a huge spatial vortex just a hundred thousand kilometers from the planet.

Katina Base Commander: Missile approaching. Distance 50.

From the vortex, several missiles with proton-antiproton warheads streaked towards Katina. Romanic sprung into action and flew into a low orbit, and began firing green blasters at the missiles. The first missile exploded harmlessly several kilometers above the atmosphere.

Romanic: Scratch one bogey.

Katina Base Commander: Missile approaching. Distance 20.

The Arwing did a vertical U-turn and headed back in the other direction. Romanic spotted two more missiles headed for the surface, and fired as rapidly as he could at the warheads, attempting to detonate them. Within a few seconds, both missiles had been destroyed.

Romanic: Yeah! It's working!

Katina Base Commander: Missile approaching. Distance 10.

The Arwing quickly turned to the right and headed for the cluster of three missiles, just a few kilometers above the base. They would reach their targets within 30 seconds.

Romanic: Katina Base, I'll be there as fast as I can. But I've taken damage..... the Arwing might not make it.

Katina Base Commander: We are unable to evacuate in time. We are counting on you.

Romanic: I'll give it everything I've got. Firing up the emergency thrusters! EEEEYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!

The Arwing blasted toward the surface, shields buckling due to the atmospheric friction. Romanic could feel his vessel being torn apart, but he fired his last remaining Nova Bomb. The bomb streaked toward the cluster of missiles, and exploded dead center. In the resulting explosion, all three of the missile warheads were detonated safely, a mere 3 kilometers above Katina base. Romanic wiped the sweat from his feathered brow, and noted how close Katina base had come to being destroyed.

Romanic: Hoooo.... that was too close. Well, Falco, I guess you're good for something.

Katina Base Commander: Falco, Katina is in your debt. Thank you for saving our lives. Katina base is OK!

Romanic: I wish I could say the same, Katina base...... I'm having some trouble here.

Suddenly, Romanic's Arwing stalled in the upper atmosphere. The emergency thrusters had been damaged during the encounter with Star Wolf, and he must have been leaking fuel. The Arwing was operating now on minimum thruster power. He wouldn't be able to land safely, so he pulled his craft up and attempted to bounce off of the atmosphere like a pebble skipping off of a pond.

Romanic: Come on baby, hold together.....

As Romanic's Arwing escaped the atmosphere of Katina, it was slowly being drawn toward the giant vortex in space that just seemed to be getting larger and larger. The vortex was a gravity well of never-before-seen proportions. With no way to escape from the gravitational pull using engine power, Romanic tried one last desperation maneuver. Romanic released the antimatter from his main fuel hold and it began to spiral down into the gravity well. Using his thrusters, he positioned the Arwing and fired at the antimatter with his blasters. The resulting explosion blasted the Arwing free from both planet Katina and the gravity well.

Romanic: WOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO!!!! I MADE IT!!!!

The gravity well began to close, but one final proton-antiproton missile emerged, and headed straight for Romanic's ship.

Romanic: I guess I just can't catch a break......

Romanic: KATT!! WHERE ARE YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUU?????

Fox McCloud: We're heading for Aquas. Report in.

Peppy Hare: This is Peppy. All systems go.

Rob64: Falco's ship is under maintenance. Slippy's ship is still out of range.

Peppy Hare: There's massive energy readings dead ahead.

Fox McCloud: A battle above the surface.... who could it be?

The group of fighters cruised toward the violent scene ahead, where a group of starfighters was engaged in battle with a cloaked vessel of some kind.

Wolf O'Donnell: Don't get too cocky, Star Fox.

Fox McCloud: Just what I need to see; Star Wolf.

Wolf O'Donnell: Nice of you to show up late to the party. Seems like I've done all the work for you.... that means I should get to claim all the reward.

Fox McCloud: What are you talking about?

Wolf O'Donnell: Open your eyes, fool! Don't look now, but you're about to get pulverized.

Fox McCloud: Huh? What?

Out of what seemed like thin air, homing missiles emerged and headed straight for Fox's ship. A quick vertical loop maneuver and Fox was in the clear.

Wolf O'Donnell: Try staying awake next time, Fox. Leave this to more experienced fighter pilots. You might be good, but I'm better.

Fox McCloud: We'll just see about that, Star Wolf. All-range mode!

Fox and Peppy began to engage the cloaked vessel at close range.

Wolf O'Donnell: What do you think you're doing? I don't need any of your help.

Fox McCloud: That's too bad, because you're about to get it.

Peppy Hare: The scanners can't see anything. Aim for the open spot, where the missiles are emerging. That might be a weakness in the cloaking shield.

Fox McCloud: I'm on it!

Wolf O'Donnell: Hey! I thought of that first! *snarl* How do you think we've been able to keep up with a cloaked ship firing homing torpedoes, you amateurs?

Fox McCloud: Excuse us for trying.

Wolf O'Donnell: Why don't you leave before you get hurt?

Fox McCloud: Why don't you focus on your own ship? Homing missile on your six.

Wolf O'Donnell: What?

Fox McCloud: I'll take care of it.

*ZAP ZAP ZAP ZAP*

Wolf O'Donnell: No way! I don't believe it! ......Why don't you go bother someone else for a while?

Fox McCloud: That's gratitude for you.

Wolf O'Donnell: If you're going to be here, at least shut up and follow my lead. Otherwise, get out of my way.

Fox McCloud: Ha.... whatever you say, Wolf.

Wolf O'Donnell: Now it's time to show you cadets how it's done. All craft, fire on my mark!

The Star Wolf team opened fire on the enemy vessel, hitting it right in the missile launcher, causing it to explode. The cloaking shields dropped, revealing a massive warship with enough firepower to destroy every major city on Corneria, and enough fighter craft to take on the entire Cornerian Army.

Pinman: Ahhhhhh..... someone wants to play.

Peppy Hare: Incoming!

Pinman: Deploy all units!!! CHARGE!!!!

Peppy Hare: Aim for the open spot.

Wolf O'Donnell: Took you long enough....

Peppy Hare: Watch out, Fox! Missiles approaching. Shoot em down, we're being marked!

Wolf O'Donnell: Amateurs! I'll finish this....

Wolf O'Donnell's Wolfen fighter fired plasma at the back of the attack carrier, damaging it's shield generator. He then dropped low to the surface and executed a perfect barrel roll underneath the craft, then a vertical loop around the back of Fox's Arwing, blasting all the missiles to smithereens. Then, he performed a corkscrew maneuver and ended up directly in front of fox, aimed at the attack carrier's hangar compartment. The fighter craft inside, and all of their engine reactors, missiles, and other dangerous materials, exploded in violent succession.

Wolf O'Donnell: Get out of my way, Star Fox.

Fox McCloud: I guess I'll take out the other missile launcher.

Fox performed a corkscrew maneuver and ended up side-by-side with Wolf, and fired his blue hyper lasers at the enemy craft. The missile launcher promptly broke off from the craft, leaving only the core of the giant ship intact.

Pinman: You are starting to annoy me! I'll crush you!

Wolf O'Donnell: Is that all you do, is talk?

Pinman: Fire all weapons! Destroy those cocky little punks!

Wolf O'Donnell: What did you just call me?

The attack carrier began firing a steady stream of flaming projectiles at the fighter craft, and began flying around at high speed attempting to crash into them.

Peppy Hare: Watch out, Fox!

Wolf O'Donnell: Evasive maneuvers. Star Wolf team, it is time to leave. Get out of here. I'll handle the rest.

Fox McCloud: I'll cover you....

Wolf O'Donnell: Nice try, fox, but this one is mine. Now give me some space, and I'll school you on how to fly.

Fox McCloud: Okay big guy, suit yourself.... All craft, break away....

Fox, Peppy, and the Great Fox break formation and enter the upper atmosphere, then watch what happens at a safe distance.

Wolf O'Donnell: Now that the extras have left the stage, it's time for the dramatic fight between the only pilot that really knows how to fly, and some overgrown amphibian who's way out of his league.

Pinman: You? You furry little worm.... I'll destroy you in ways you can't even begin to-

Wolf O'Donnell: SHUT UP!!!

Wolf destroyed the remaining weapons systems on the Attack Carrier. Then, he blasted a massive hole in the bridge of the starship.

Wolf O'Donnell: I want to look you in the eye before I finish you...

Pinman: Who... are you???

Wolf O'Donnell: I..... AM..... STAR WOLF!!!!!

Pinman: You'll never defeat Andross!!!!

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

Pinman: Well fought..... well fought...... but don't congratulate yourselves just yet. This party's only just begun!

Romanic woke up in the medical bay of the Great Fox, being attended to by Rob64.

Romanic: Wha.... what happened? Last thing I knew, I was about to be turned into a fried chicken. How did I get here?

Rob64: I was able to locate Falco's damaged Arwing using the Great Fox's scanners. Your medical condition is OK.

Romanic: How's the Arwing? Is it salvageable?

Rob64: Falco's ship is in the docking bay.

Romanic: Good. I'm anxious to get back to flying, and show these monkeys who's boss!

Yaropolk's ship was drifting far off-course due to his navigational system shorting out from solar flare activity. Long-range sensors detected a squadron of fighters leaving Aquas, so Yaropolk tried to cut directly across the star system and head for Macbeth. The shortest route to get there was passing by the dwarf star, Solar, the smaller of the two stars in the binary Lylat star system. He sent out a distress call to planet Katina, informing him of his trouble.

Yaropolk: Blue 3 to Katina base... I'm having some trouble with my navigational system. I'm going to attempt to reach Macbeth and rejoin my squadron.

Yaropolk noticed that the squadron of fighters were heading directly for his position, so he pulled his craft closer to the star, hoping to mask his signature in the star's atmosphere. His ship's outer hull temperature began to climb, reaching temperatures exceeding the design limit. His sensor array overloaded, and his aerofoils began to melt and contort in shape. There was no way to tell if the fighters had passed yet or not, but there wasn't time to wait and find out. He piloted his craft away from the star's surface, and began to break free....

Suddenly, a solar flare erupted from the star, and a wave of highly charged particles and extremely hot energetic plasma pushed the damaged craft away from the star, nearly crippling the ship in the process. Just outside the stellar atmosphere, a large vortex was forming, of the same size and type observed previously. From within the gravity well, a group of missiles emerged, heading straight for the hot, desert world of Titania, the planet in close orbit around Solar.

Yaropolk: Blue 3 to Titania, if you can hear me, there are missiles incoming. Titania, do you read me?

Yaropolk got no response. His little craft was unable to escape from the gravity well, and was crushed by the immense forces inside, just as the phenomenon collapsed.

Fox McCloud and most of the StarFox team headed toward the space junkyard known as Sector X. Here, there were floating bits of debris, steel girders, and remnants of an old, abandoned, secret base of some kind. Many of the automatic defensive systems, such as space mines, were still active.

Fox McCloud: All aircraft report

Slippy Toad: I'm fine, I'm fine.

Falco Lombardi: You worry about your own hide!

Peppy Hare: This is Peppy. All systems go.

Katt Monroe: Don't worry about me, little man. I'll be right behind you, Falco.

Rob64: This is Rob64. Great Fox is ready to go.

Fox McCloud: I see them up ahead.

Falco Lombardi: Something's not right here. Who took this base out?

Katt Monroe: Everything's been destroyed.

Slippy Toad: I'm reading residual anti-protons. It's possible a missile may have been involved.

Peppy Hare: Everybody, stay alert!

Slippy Toad: Space Mines ahead!

Fox McCloud: Keep an eye on your shield gauge.

Fox and his crew fired a cluster of bombs to take out the space mines. Once the path forward was clear, they continued toward the space base.

Falco Lombardi: Somebody beat us here. It's all gone!

Peppy Hare: I'm going ahead, back me up, Fox.

Falco Lombardi: I'll take the left.

Fox McCloud: Falco! Where are you going?

Slippy Toad: Something's up ahead. Looks different.

A massive collection of space fighters zoom out from behind one of the sections of the base. They appear to be automated drones.

Peppy Hare: Surprise attack coming from above!

Falco Lombardi: Take em down with one shot!

Slippy Toad: Fox, get this guy off me!

Peppy Hare: Take care of the guy behind me, Fox!

Falco Lombardi: Shoot, he's right behind me!

Katt Monroe: I've got someone on my tail!

Rob64: A bomb has been planted at the base.

Fox McCloud: Let's take care of these guys first!

Fox McCloud launches into action, shaking the enemy swarm off of his tail, while taking care of the enemies behind Slippy Toad.

Slippy Toad: Whoooo! That was too close!

Fox McCloud: Back me up, Slippy.

Slippy Toad: Sure thing, Fox. Come here you stupid drones.... I've got you now!

Peppy Hare: What's takin' you so long, Fox?

Fox McCloud: I'll be right there!

Fox McCloud destroys the squadron behind Peppy with ease.

Peppy Hare: Your father helped me like that too!

Falco Lombardi: I could use some help here, Fox!

Katt Monroe: Are you guys tryin' to damage my pretty face?

Fox McCloud: I'll be there as quick as I can.

Fox McCloud takes out the enemy group behind Falco and Katt.

Falco Lombardi: Gee, I've been saved by Fox, how swell.

Peppy Hare: Your skills have improved Fox.

Slippy Toad: Yippie! You did it!

Katt Monroe: Nice work, little man.

Rob64: this is Rob64. Keep up the good work.

Seon: We are the aparoids. Lower your shields and surrender your ships. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Obey us. Obey us. Resistance is futile.....

Fox McCloud: So this is the secret weapon....

Seon: All for us... All things in the universe... will be ours... All for us... Everything in this universe exists for us... Bow before us... Submit to us...

Falco Lombardi: What the heck is that???

Peppy Hare: THIS is the enemy Bio-weapon???

Seon: If you will not be turned.... you will be destroyed....

Falco Lombardi: Destroy what? He's crazy!

Slippy Toad: Data analysis complete, here it comes!

Slippy Toad: YESSS!!! YOU DID IT, FOX!!!

Falco Lombardi: That's our leader!

Peppy Hare: What's wrong, Fox?

Fox McCloud: Hey.... the force field is disappearing!

Katt Monroe: What's going on?

Falco Lombardi: Oh man.....

Fox McCloud: It was all a trick. There was no Aparoid Queen.

Slippy Toad: This is really starting to tick me off!

Peppy Hare: It was all an illusion! There's nothing here! Check your scanners again, guys!

Slippy Toad: Wait a second, I spot a ship leaving the base, heading towards Macbeth!

Peppy Hare: I'm not letting you get away from me!

Slippy Toad: Your carcass is mine!

Fox McCloud: So, Seon, you show your true form!

Seon: The hologram didn't fool you? Oh shoot! I need to get out of here, quick!!!

Fox McCloud: Say your prayers, Seon!

Seon: But, but, but......

Night Phase Five

Zoness- Toxic Waste Area

Falco Lombardi and Katt Monroe were flying close to Zoness, en route to Sector Z. The planet had been rehabilitated in extraordinary fashion from back when it was a toxic waste dump, but there was still much environmental recovery left to go. Katt looked at her home planet and it brought a smile to her face.

Katt Monroe: Beautiful isn't it?

Falco looked up and saw that a massive space rift was forming over the planet, and from the rift there were emerging a vast swarm of interplanetary missiles with proton-antiproton warheads.

Falco Lombardi: It's about to get a whole lot less beautiful. Katt, I'm going in!

Katt Monroe: I'm right on your tail, Falco!

Falco hit the booster to chase after the missiles.... but this time there were too many. Within seconds he had exhausted his fresh supply of Nova Bombs and found himself leaning on the auto-fire button, aiming his blasters at the missile swarm while attempting to dodge the missiles himself. Some of the missiles split off from the main group and headed for Falco Lombardi himself. Falco remained focused on his task.... while Katt also attempted to spare her home planet from destruction. In the melee, Katt noticed a missile group that was heading for the polar regions, and Katt knew its target was the capital city on the far side of the planet.

Katt Monroe: Falco, I have to take care of those missiles!

Falco Lombardi: Don't worry, I can handle it, just go!

Reluctantly, Katt went full throttle after the rogue missile group. Falco meanwhile began piloting his ship through the projected path of the missile swarm, in an attempt to shake the missiles off of his tail and use them against the others. It worked! The lead missiles exploded in rapid succession, destroying the cluster in a chain reaction. Unfortunately, Falco was attempting to destroy a few of the missiles that had drifted apart from the main group, and once he took care of those, he spotted another small cluster on the far side, right in the path of the main group. He exhausted his booster engine just getting as far as the main group, and fired his blasters. Falco destroyed the small cluster just as the chain reaction from the main group caught up with Falco's position. There was not enough engine power to do any fancy maneuvers, so Falco executed a Barrel Roll in an attempt to deflect the damage with his G-Diffuser system.

Falco Lombardi: ARRRRGGGHHH!!!

It was no use; the ship's G-Diffuser was not strong enough to repel firepower of this magnitude! The G-Diffuser failed!

Falco was knocked unconscious, and his damaged Arwing drifted toward the gravity well, and was torn apart by the G-forces inside.

Macbeth- Venomian Supply Depot

Another "for fun only" video. It has no bearing on the story.

Meanwhile, God Emperor was patrolling the Venomian Supply Depot on the Planet Macbeth. It was a relatively uneventful day on the planet. Same old, same old.

God Emperor: Grey 8, reporting in. God Emperor here, no problems.

From out of the clouds came a ship that immediately began firing upon God Emperor's starfighter. The red plasma streaked from seemingly all directions. It happened so fast that God Emperor wasn't sure how to react, or where to go. But training and instinct soon set in, and he pulled his craft into a steep dive, heading for the Venomian base.

God Emperor: Do you copy? Emergency Maneuvers!

Do you really think that you could escape from me?

God Emperor: Who are you? What do you want?

But there was no reply from the ship that came from the clouds. More red plasma fire struck God Emperor's ship, and soon it lost what remained of its shields. The ship darted between double and triple-decker railroad tracks, stacks of cargo containers, and automated defense ion cannon towers.

There's nowhere to run, and nowhere to hide from me.

As God Emperor pulled his craft into a supply yard, he headed for a palate of enormous duranium cylinders, meant for constructing subterranean oil pipelines. His plan was to escape to the other side of the supply yard undetected, and then report what happened to his superiors. The unknown assailant simply pulled his craft into the air, and fired upon the end of the cylinder. The resulting impact warped the metal, and nearly fused the end of the tube shut. God Emperor's craft slammed into the end of the tube and was incinerated instantaneously.

God Emperor: MY DIVINE REIGN.... HAS COME TO AN END!!!!

PHASE COMPLETE

Fox McCloud and most of the StarFox team headed toward the space junkyard known as Sector Z. The area was used to dump radioactive materials used by the nearby planet, Venom.

Fox McCloud: All aircraft report

Slippy Toad: I'm fine, I'm fine.

Peppy Hare: This is Peppy. All systems go.

Rob64: This is Rob64. Great Fox is ready to go.

Peppy Hare: Hmmm, levels of radiation in this sector are higher than anticipated. What have the Venomians been up to?

Slippy Toad: I see a squadron of Venomian fighters up ahead.

Venomian fighter: This area is off-limits to outsiders. Leave immediately or we will open fire.

Fox McCloud: We're not going anywhere. We're trying to determine the source of all these proton-antiproton missiles that keep attacking planets all across the system.

Venomian fighter: This is your final warning. Please exit the waste area before you get hurt.

Slippy Toad: Fox, this radiation is interfering with my scanners. I can't tell if this guy has the firepower to back up what he's saying.

Fox McCloud: Stand down, Venomian! Perhaps you don't know who you're dealing with here.... we're STAR FOX!

Venomian fighter: All craft, target the lead vessel. Fire on my mark.

Peppy Hare: Brace yourselves!

The Venomian freighters jettisoned their toxic cargo, and then fired upon it. The resulting explosion overloaded the sensor systems on each Arwing, and coated their cockpits with radioactive black tar.

Slippy Toad: Ahhhhhh! I'm hit! I can't see a thing!

Peppy Hare: Use your targeting computer, Slip! We'll have to pilot by sensors alone!

Fox McCloud: I think I can make them out, my cockpit only has a thin coating of slime on it. Let me handle this.

Peppy Hare: I'll follow your lead on this one, Fox!

Slippy Toad: Right behind ya, Fox!

Fox McCloud and his group began firing blindly into the Venomian squadron, which immediately began to disperse. With great zeal, the members of the Star Fox team began chasing them down and firing on them one by one. With each one they destroyed, more radiation and black tar was released into space. Even the venomians began firing upon one another. It was a cruel melee, each fighter flying blind and in the dark.

Slippy Toad: I got one!

Peppy Hare: Fox, I think I've detected the enemy flagship! Check your scanners!

Fox McCloud: I spot it, I think. I'm targeting its engines!

Peppy Hare: Wait, Fox! I think that's one of ours!

Rob64: This is Rob64. Great Fox has sustained critical damage.

Fox McCloud: Oh shoot! That was the Great Fox!

Slippy Toad: Nooooooooo! Not the Great Fox!

Peppy Hare: Doggone it!

Beefy187: STAND CLEAR. CORE REACTOR BREACH IN PROGRESS.

Slippy Toad: Rob! Get out of there!

Beefy187: This is Rob64. Insufficient time remaining.

Fox McCloud: What have I done?

Titania- Arid Desert

Renata was flying her Blue 6 fighter over the planet Titania, looking for the source of the proton-antiproton missiles. The dry, rocky surface was filled with hazards and dangerous creatures. She was too distraught over how lame it was to be a vanilla townie to even notice the massive wormhole opening up just above the planet.

Renata: SIGGHHHHHHHHHH.....................

The missiles emerged from the wormhole as usual, and streaked toward the surface.

Renata: Huh? What's that in the sky? Missiles? ...............Good. I've had it with all these boring roles. Curse you Askthepizzaguy! Curse you AND your random number generator that hates me apparently! You will rue the day you made me vanilla! I.... prefer..... chocolate!!!!!

Renata went full throttle towards the first missile, and switched off her deflector shield, and then stalled her craft and hit the ejector button.

Renata: Screw this lame ship that can't even do anything! Bye bye ship! Hello gigantic missile! You'll love me, won't you? Or at least acknowledge my existence by literally bursting from the excitement of meeting me? Please say you love me.

The missile didn't reply, but it felt sad that it couldn't give Renata a powerful role like she wanted, to break her streak of lame vanilla roles. Then, it exploded.

Renata: YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!

The Star Fox team and a group of Cornerian fighters advanced on Bolse, the constructed defense outpost in orbit around Venom. They had taken casualties just attempting to reach the outpost.

Fox McCloud: This is it, let's get ready to rumble.

Slippy Toad: Rumble pak engaged!

Peppy Hare: Slippy, watch out, you've got a bogey on your tail!

Slippy Toad: Woah! Help me!

Fox McCloud: I've got you covered, Slippy.

Slippy Toad: Something's wrong.... the satellite seems to be protected by some kind of energy shield.

Fox McCloud: I've got you now.... shoot! These fighters also seem to be protected by an energy shield. Even my hyper blaster doesn't do any damage.

Peppy Hare: Everyone, try evasive maneuvers! If we can't figure out how to shut down those shields then we're going to get pulverized!

Slippy Toad: Fox, I've taken damage! I'm monkey food if I don't leave!

Peppy Hare: Me too.... Sorry guys, I've gotta sit this one out!

Fox McCloud: All craft, full retreat.

Wolf O'Donnell Can't let you do that, Star Fox.

Leon Powalski: I think I'll torture you for a while.

Panther Caroso: Greetings, Star Fox. Allow me to introduce myself.... I am Panther. All who see my rose will perish.

Wolf O'Donnell Why don't you go back to Corneria, where it's safe? Leave the hard work to someone who knows what he's doing.

Fox McCloud: I'm not looking for a fight. We're here to defeat Andross...

Wolf O'Donnell YOU???? You wouldn't stand a chance against Andross. Your ships are fleeing from a tiny unmanned space station just because it has extra shielding. Your team is in disarray, and your fleet is taking a severe beating. You run at the first sign of trouble. You haven't been much use in taking down Andross' minions. What good are you, anyway?

Leon Powalski: You're way out of your league, rookie. Leave the real jobs to the professionals, and finally learn your place.

Andrew Oikonny: You'd better listen up, or you'll be sorry!

Pigma Dengar: I've got an idea.... *oink* let's just put him outta business. Getting rid of the competition would be quite profitable.

Fox McCloud: Is that all you think about, is money?

Wolf O'Donnell Well? Are you just going to stick around, or are you going to wise up and leave?

Wolf O'Donnell What? You clueless fool! You can't even shoot down their ships!

Fox McCloud: There's gotta be a way to defeat them. What are you guys going to do, keep talking tough, or are you prepared to back it up with some action?

Fox McCloud: Sure you don't. By the way, you've got a group of fighters on your tail.

Leon Powalski: I know that! I'm not worried about some unmanned drones! I am the GREAT LEON!!!

Panther Caroso: Ahhh.... finally some worthy prey.....

Fox McCloud: Hey, look..... the force field is disappearing. There's something emerging.....

Leon Powalski: Check your scanners.

Andrew Oikonny: There's over 200 drones coming towards our position!

Wolf O'Donnell What the heck?

Fox McCloud: It's decision time, Wolf.... are you going to fight that army, or are you going to get out while you still can?

Wolf O'Donnell Oh be quiet, you... amateur! Wolfen fighters, evasive sequence nine. Regroup at Saragossa.

Pigma Dengar: It's too late! We're completely surrounded!

Fox McCloud: General Pepper, come in. I need the Cornerian Fleet to converge on my coordinates. The enemy army has emerged! Repeat, I need backup, now!

General Pepper: I read you, Fox. I'm sending in the Fleet.

Fox McCloud: Here come the reinforcements!

The Cornerian Fleet began engaging the army of automated drones just above the surface of Bolse. The Lylat Cruisers were able to penetrate the drone fighter's shields, but only rarely. The small craft were too maneuverable to be hit. Cornerian fighters chased them down and attempted to blow them to pieces, with blasters and missile fire. All of the weapons on the Cornerian fighters were unable to penetrate the drone's shielding, and many Cornerian fighters were overwhelmed by the numbers of the drones.

Wolf O'Donnell: There's an opening in the field, heading 105 mark 27. Let's leave this one to "Mister hero"....

Leon Powalski: Acknowledged.

Pigma Dengar: Have fun, little man! Don't work too hard! Hah hah hah!!!

Panther Caroso: Meeting you has been a pleasure. I hope to see you again in one piece.... if you survive.

Andrew Oikonny: You think he'll survive? I don't think so. Hey Fox.... give it up! You can't win!

Wolf O'Donnell: Until next we meet, Fox..... try not to fail too horribly.

Fox McCloud: You're welcome, guys. General Pepper, let's get the fleet out of harm's way. There's nothing more that can be done here, we're just not inflicting enough damage.

General Pepper: Loud and clear Fox. Everyone, regroup at the base at Macbeth.

Fox McCloud: Damage report, all craft!

Frozen in Ice: This is Blue 8... My shield is down, and my life support system has shorted out! I'm breathing through an oxygen mask, and my cockpit is venting air into space! It.... it's..... so...... c-c-c-c-cold.....

Fox McCloud: Blue 8, do you think you can make it to Macbeth?

*red klaxons go off inside Frozen's cockpit. The fusion reactor is about to go critical*

Frozen in Ice: I don't think I need to worry about that anymore, Fox. This is Blue 8 to all nearby craft, my reactor is about to blow.... move to a safe distance!

Fox McCloud: Blue 8, can't you shut it down? Frozen, do you read me???

Frozen in Ice: I'm sorry Fox..... tell my wife, Boiling in Oil, that I love her very much. All right, you alien drone buttholes, if I'm going down I'm taking you with me.

Frozen in Ice piloted his craft back towards Bolse, heading directly for the satellites' main shield generator, which is protected by a squadron of drones and surrounded by automated ion cannons. He powered up his engines and began his suicide run.

Frozen in Ice: ZEPPELIN RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUULES!!!!!

Night Phase Seven

Joooray was flying her Cloud Runner over the planet Sauria, making certain the sky was free of all proton-antiproton missiles. She looked up and saw a distant object approaching from the sky.

Ahhh.... Krystal... the pleasure of meeting you is all mine. Such a shame I am going to have to kill you.

Joooray: Well you've got one thing right, the pleasure is all yours. But you're not taking me down today.

Krystal fired up her emergency booster engines and began flying down toward the surface. The Cloud Runner's only reserve Smart Bomb deployed, trailing behind her diving craft. Just before she hit the surface, she pulled up and headed for the Grandiose Canyon. The Smart Bomb impacted the surface, the blast catching the pursuing attacker's fighter craft by surprise. However the fighter emerged mostly unscathed.

Clever little Fox... but it will take more than one of those. All out of Smart Bombs?

Joooray: Maybe so, but I have a few surprises left.

Krystal cruised through Grandiose Canyon, pulling her craft through the sharp twists and turns of the mighty ancient canyon. At the fork in the dry riverbed ahead, she veered sharply to the left and traveled through a large ancient archway, and fired her twin blasters at the support structure. The entire thing collapsed a split second after she passed underneath. Her attacker saw the move coming and pulled up.

I'm still right behind you, and enjoying the view.

Joooray: What is it you want anyway?

Krystal took the brunt of a volley of plasma fire. Her ship, the Cloud Runner, was built with heavy shielding, and she simply did a Barrel Roll and her G-Diffuser system generated a directional deflector shield. The plasma bounced off of her shields and hit the canyon wall. She pulled her ship into a climb, followed closely by her attacker, and executed a vertical half loop. The Cloud Runner streaked back toward the ground, and she fired her twin lasers at the dusty ancient sand. The sand and the dust exploded from the impact, creating a large, thick dust cloud. Then she twisted her ship to the right and began flying back in the opposite direction, leaving her attacker to guess which direction she had flown.

Oh, I like this game, I like it. Let's play hide and seek.... you try and hide, and I'll seek you out every time.

Joooray: Get away from me, you creep!

Krystal pulled her craft out of the canyon and blasted toward a thick mass of a great jungle ahead. Her ship darted past ten-thousand year old trees that stood half a mile tall. The jungle is filled with massive saurian creatures. The ship on her tail continued firing red plasma at her, incinerating vegetation and killing animal life in the process. Krystal pulled up abruptly, and flew over the jungle and began performing barrel rolls to deflect the plasma fire. Her ship was still hit several times during these maneuvers.

Not quite good enough. Any last words?

Joooray: ......Go fox yourself?

Charming to the last. Did you learn that language in finishing school, princess?

Krystal piloted her craft toward the ancient ruins of some long-lost civilization, and flew directly into the temple, attempting to lose her attacker in the twisting maze of columns and tight corridors

What a fitting end to such a life... soon, this place will be quiet as a tomb.

Joooray: Oh great, a comedian. Where's the comically over-sized hook to yank this joker off the stage?

You're right. I've overstayed my welcome. Time for the curtain to fall.

Krystal's attacker fired at the ceiling in the central chamber, and then it started to collapse. The attacker swerved down a connecting corridor and left the temple altogether. Several tons of solid rock fell on top of Krystal's craft, crushing it instantly and causing the G-diffuser system to explode.

Joooray: Fox..... where are you.....

Bolse Defense Outpost

ArpeggiateTHIS flew in formation with other Cornerian Fighters, several kilometers away from the Bolse Defense Platform, just out of range of weapons fire from the platform. The Cornerian Fleet had returned from Macbeth, and was awaiting the order to attack. However, this was not to be.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

Right in the center of the fleet, a massive buildup of graviton particles signaled that a tear in normal space was forming. The Fleet was ordered to break away, but Bill Grey saw proton-antiproton missiles emerging. They were heading straight for the Cornerian flagship. Swinging into action, Bill Grey moved toward the gravity well, and began blasting the missiles with his green-tinted twin blasters. However, this time something was different.... the missiles stopped emerging from the gravity well. Instead, the gravity well expanded rapidly in size, pulling Bill Grey's ship directly into the vortex. Stuck in Pi's fighter drifted inside, right along with him.

ArpeggiateTHIS: General Pepper! I'm being pulled inside the vortex! Blue 9 is trapped inside with me. Bulldog unit, cover the flagship. Husky unit, retreat to a safe distance.

Andross: Ha ha ha ha.... you can NEVER DEFEAT ME!!!!

ArpeggiateTHIS: Andross.... I should have known. Can't say I'm surprised. It will be my pleasure to personally take you down. Blue 9, cover me, I'm going in!

Andross: Those tin cans are no match for me....

Andross grabbed Stuck in Pi's vessel and tossed it OUT OF THIS DIMENSION.

ArpeggiateTHIS: Stuck in Pi! NOOOOOOOO!!! That's one of ours!!!

Andross fired ~~what appeared to be force lightning~~ a stream of ionized particles at Bill Grey's ship, trapping him in the damaging storm.

Andross: You will die, just like your father....

ArpeggiateTHIS: What are you talking about? My father isn't dead. I'm Bill Grey.

Andross: Who?

ArpeggiateTHIS: Bill Grey. I'm more of an ancillary character. But I helped Fox out a couple of times. Also I can tell the good guys from the bad. I command the Husky and Bulldog squadrons. Come on, all the fans know who I am. I'm here to help!

Andross: WHAT? I reveal my awesomely unstoppable power, and all I get to crush is some loser who hasn't even starred in a game as a main character yet? DIE YOU PATHETIC LITTLE WORM!!!

Andross' robotic hands begin to transform into something else.... missile launchers. From out of these come a steady stream of proton-antiproton missiles. They swarm around Bill Grey's ship and begin to explode, crippling Bill Grey's vessel.

ArpeggiateTHIS: WOAH, Chill out man! You're totally harshing on my mellow!

Andross' robotic hands transform back, and they grab Bill Grey's ship and begin crushing it like tin foil.

ArpeggiateTHIS: Fox! Help......

General Pepper: What are you doing? It's too dangerous to attack the Venomian fleet!

Fox McCloud: We can't get past the Bolse defense outpost. I don't see any other options, General.

Star Fox and the Cornerian Army moved into orbit around Venom.... but was forced to move to the opposite end of the planet, where the Venomian fleet was docked and there are heavy air defense platforms, warships, and interceptors, not to mention a vast minefield. The Cornerian fleet was forced to keep its distance, and send in only the fighters. The move was almost suicidal, but Fox McCloud was leading the charge.

Fox McCloud: All craft, report in!

Slippy Toad: Don't worry, Slippy's here!

Katt Monroe: Make way for Katt!

Peppy Hare: I've taken a few hits, but I'm okay.

Fox McCloud: Let's rock and roll!

Venomian Fleet Commander: Are these guys idiots? They're going to get pulverized.

Venomian fighter: They're heading for the minefield. 500 meters.

Fox McCloud: Everyone, deploy nova bombs.

Slippy Toad: Bomb one deployed!

Peppy Hare: Bomb two deployed!

Katt Monroe: Already done, Fox.

The bombs hurtled toward the mine field, triggering several space mines. The resulting explosion set off a chain reaction, and detonated the nova bombs. Soon, a hole was blasted in the kilometer-thick minefield.

Venomian fighter: They've blown a hole in the mine field. They're coming through.

Venomian Fleet Commander: Deploy missiles.

Slippy Toad: Incoming enemy missile!

Peppy Hare: Shoot em down, we're being marked!

Fox McCloud: Here it comes!

Katt Monroe: Take the right one boy, I've got the left.

within seconds, the missiles were shot down by the Fox team. The Cornerian fighters followed close behind, while the Cornerian cruisers attempted to break through the mine field.

Venomian fighter: They've broken through the first line.

Venomian Fleet Commander: Send in the fighters.

Peppy Hare: Enemy fighters incoming.

Slippy Toad: Fox! They're all over me, I can't break free!

Katt Monroe: I've got an enemy on my tail!

Fox McCloud: I'm on it.

After a fierce fire fight, the Fox team had downed most of the enemy fighters, leaving the Cornerian fighter group to finish off the rest. They continued on toward Venom.

Venomian fighter: They're through the second line!

Venomian Fleet Commander: These guys are crazy! Send in the warships.

Peppy Hare: Enemy warships dead ahead. It's a trap!

Slippy Toad: There's too many of them!

Katt Monroe: They're all over me!

Fox McCloud: Use your G-diffuser system!

The warships unleashed a barrage of red plasma fire, many firing directly at the Star Fox team, and many firing at the Cornerian fighters behind them.

Slippy Toad: Ahhh! I'm hit!

Peppy Hare: At this rate, we're not going to last long against those warships. We need help!

Katt Monroe: Fox, my ship has taken too much damage, I've got to withdraw.

Fox McCloud: Head back to the cruisers. I've got this one, Katt.

The Cornerian fleet, comprised of Lylat Cruisers, Lylat Carriers, and General Pepper's flagship, breaks through the first line defenses and begins to assist in the battle.

Fox McCloud: General Pepper, we need assistance at the following coordinates.

General Pepper: Concentrate all fire on that Super Star Destroyer.

Peppy Hare: Fox, it's working!

Slippy Toad: Enemy warship down! There's a gap in the field! We can break through now.

Nictel: The last line has been breached!

Venomian Fleet Commander: FIRE!! FIRE!!! DON'T LET THEM THROUGH!!!!

Nictel: Acknowledged, sir!

Nictel's ship moves into position and fires on Star Fox.

Nictel: In order to get to Venom, you've got to get through me first!

Peppy Hare: Doggone it, what now?

Slippy Toad: Let me handle this! Pew pew pew pew!!!!

Peppy Hare: "Pew pew pew"?

Nictel: I'm hit! I'm hit! I'm going down!!!

Fox McCloud: Nice shooting, Slippy.

Peppy Hare: I didn't know you had it in ya.

Slippy Toad: YEAH!!! See guys, I always pull through in the end.

Fox McCloud: Sure you do, Slip for brains........ I mean, you sure do, Slippy.

Nictel: My ship! My beautiful, precious ship! YARRRGGGHHHH.......

The StarFox team had made it through the Venom Orbital Defense Zone, but they suspected there was a base located on Venom Alpha, one of the moons of Venom. So they went to investigate before doing a direct assault on Venom, so they wouldn't get caught from behind by surprise.

Fox McCloud: All craft report in!

Slippy Toad: No problems here, Fox!

Peppy Hare: I've gotta keep an eye on my shield gauge, but I should be okay.

Katt Monroe: Repairs complete. Here I come!

Fox McCloud: I'm not seeing any Venomian craft on the surface. It looks like they were attempting to construct a base, but everything seems to have been destroyed from orbit.

Peppy Hare: I don't like the looks of this, Fox.

Slippy Toad: I'm detecting residual anti-protons. It's no wonder this place has been abandoned. There's a thin atmosphere of antimatter swirling around the surface.

Katt Monroe: Anti-matter? We'd better stand clear. No sense even approaching the moon at this rate.

Slippy Toad: FOX, LOOK OUT BEHIND YOU!!!!

Fox McCloud: Time to show the monkeys who's boss!

Peppy Hare: Split up, and meet at the following coordinates. One of us has to make it to the Androssian capitol.

Katt Monroe: I'm going left, fly boy.

Peppy Hare: I've got the right, Fox.

Fox McCloud: I'll take the middle. Everyone remain in constant radio contact. Keep an eye on your shield gauge.

Katt Monroe: Peppy, there seems to be a Vortex opening above my location. Missiles are emerging.... this could be it.

Peppy Hare: Get out of there, Katt! Do a U-turn and head back to my position.

???: What, is this kindergarten? What else do you got?

Fox McCloud: How about a U-turn?

Fox McCloud: I've taken wing damage. My hyper blasters are gone!

???: I hope you learned how to fly with only one wing.

*WARNING.... SHIELDS AT 9%*

Fox McCloud: Peppy.... I think I might actually need help this time.

???: What's wrong, Fox? You knew the dangers..... are you telling me that you actually fear death? Let me look you in the eye..... I want to see that fear.....

Fox McCloud: Time to go out.... with a bang.....

Fox slammed on the Air-Brake and fired a smart bomb with the launch restraints engaged, causing his craft to self-destruct.... almost directly into the attacking ship.

???: Oh SHOOT!!!!

The attacking vessel's deflector nearly overloaded in the blast, and it was sent hurtling into space. But the attacking ship survived.

Heh..... Good-bye, Star Fox.

This is a for fun video.... but it does explain what happened to pevergreen.

pevergreen's ship had veered off-course.

WAY off course.

Some might say, if his course were marbles, he'd have lost them by now. He was flying through the Meteo asteroid field.

pevergreen: pew pew pew! pew pew pew! Take that, stupids! I am pever, the green! With no uppercase P, you fools! pew pew pew!

The rocks said nothing.

pevergreen: *muttering* Falanges.... Falanges.... I wanna see.... your falanges!

The rocks enjoyed a moment of quiet repose.

pevergreen: Or is it.... Phalanges.....

The rocks contemplated their existence.

pevergreen: No..... No...... that's not true..... that's IMPOSSIBLE!!!

The rocks did not tell pevergreen to search his feelings, he knew it to be true.

pevergreen: Falanges does not start with a P! Uppercase P make.... me..... mad!!! pew pew pew!!!!

The rocks became depressed, and exploded.

pevergreen: Take that, uppercase P! What's that? What's that, sweetness? You say you want to kill more uppercase P? Whatever you say, my love..... we wants to kill the P, don't we? That would be good for us..... and then, all that will be left are the lowercase p.

The space dust drifted away.

pevergreen: But..... if all the uppercase P are gone.......

The space dust swirled towards the black hole.

pevergreen: Then...... then...... lowercase p will become the NEW uppercase! I CANNOT LET THAT HAPPEN!!!!

The space dust experienced spaghettification.

pevergreen: Buzz Lightyear to Star Command! Come in, Star Command! I was on my way to the gamma quadrant of sector 4 when I encountered hostiles, obviously working for the evil emperor Zurg! They took the shape of the dreaded uppercase P. I blasted them to smithereenies, but now..... now....

The space dust appeared redder.... and dimmer.... and slower.

pevergreen: Now I realize the error of my ways. The uppercase P are our friends too.... without them..... there is no lowercase p.

The space dust were transported to the end of time and space.

pevergreen: I've made my decision! This is it! I'm going in the warp zone to save them! To..... save them all! I'm coming for you, uppercase P! I won't let you die, not when we've been through SO MUCH together! Fire all thrusters.... WOOOOOSHHHH!!!! Ready the tractor beam!

The red fire truck on pevergreen's dashboard slid around.

pevergreen: Hello mister fire truck! We're going to save your friends! Wooo wooo woooo honk honk clang clang clang clang!!!!!

The red fire truck looked at pevergreen and nodded.

pevergreen: Here I come, uppercase P! You won't die, as long as Captain Proton and Buster Kincaid are on the job! Take that, Doctor Chaotica! pew pew pew!

pevergreen's Cornerian fighter spiraled into the Black Hole.

pevergreen: If I don't come back, tell my toaster.... that I love her very much.

pevergreen's Cornerian fighter approached the event horizon.

pevergreen: Hello boys!!! I'm BAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!!!!

pevergreen hit the eject button, and crashed through his cockpit window with a big ****-eating grin on his face. He died instantly, but due to the strange gravitational effects, time seemed to stand still.... and that final moment seemed like an eternity. pevergreen lived forever in that moment, moving towards the light.... and he was able to rescue the uppercase P. The end.

In other news:

Someone flew out of Venom's atmosphere and began firing green blasters at Pigma's ship.

Pigma Dengar: *oink* You can't beat me, I've got a better ship!

The attacking vessel flew away, discouraged.

Elsewhere, inside the Vortex:

Andross: Ah.... the son of James McCloud!

Andross grabbed ahold of Frozen in Ice's ship, and crushed it to itty bitty bits.

Such a shame, Andross..... he was already dead.

Just outside the Vortex:

Panther Caroso: Such unworthy prey... I wish to challenge something more interesting.

Pigma Dengar: Let's cripple his ship anyway... sell it for scrap metal. I bet we can get a lotta cash for that!

Andrew Oikonny: Bow before the great Andrew!

Alexander the Pretty Good: Yikes! I'm out of here!

Wolf O'Donnell: Oh no you don't. Before we.... let you leave... I demand to know where Andross' secret base is located!

Alexander the Pretty Good: I don't know anything, I swear! I don't know where Andross is.

With that, Star Wolf opened fire on the venomian fighter, and it was incinerated in a blast of red plasma.

The largest star in the galaxy.

The second star in the binary Lylat star system. Source of unimaginable power.

Venom.

A mineral rich world, overflowing with geothermal and geokinetic energy, which had once served as Andross' base of operations.

Now, Andross had found a new base from which to launch his attacks. A place with unlimited power.

Where he would become unstoppable....

Leon Powalski: The energy given off by that star is interfering with our scanners, but I think I see something up ahead.

Pigma Dengar: *oink* Heh, this new ship can handle it. I spot the little man now.

ALTERCATION

Death Gate- Androssian Construct

General Pepper: There it is.... this must be the base that Andross has constructed over the star's magnetic pole. The star's magnetic field acts as a nearly impenetrable force field; our cruisers are not equipped with the kind of magnetic shielding it would take to survive in there. The Cornerian fleet cannot continue, so we need you to go on alone. A smaller, more durable craft might be able to generate a field large enough that envelops the entire ship safely.

Panther Caroso: ....It would polarize our navigational deflector, short out our guidance systems, overload our sensor arrays, destabilize our shield matrix, and fry our targeting computers. However, we would still be able to steer our ships, navigate by sight, and shoot manually. We'd have to avoid taking too many hits, but we can do it.

Pigma Dengar: *oink* I've got an even more advanced ship, so it should be a piece of cake. That reward's as good as mine!

Andrew Oikonny: What could possibly go wrong??? We're Star Panther! We're not afraid of some magnetic field.... send us on our way, General.

General Pepper: If your mission succeeds, you'll be pardoned by the Cornerian government, be awarded enough Cornerian credits to retire in luxury, and granted territory on any of the planets in the Lylat system still controlled by Corneria. Good luck..... I never thought I'd say this, but you are our last, best hope.

Pigma Dengar: Finally, the appreciation we deserve! My lifetime of thieving, scum, and villainy has finally paid off... just like I knew it always would.... *oink!*

Panther Caroso: We're heading in. Make sure that Andross get any reinforcements. I don't have time to watch my six while I'm in there.

General Pepper: Nothing gets in or out of that base until you come back alive. We'll be covering you; you have my word. Good luck, Caroso, Dengar.... Oikonny.

Andrew Oikonny: We don't need help anyway. I am the great Andrew. Watch and you might learn something, doggie!

The Cornerian fleet waited behind while Star Panther, consisting of Panther Caroso, Andrew Oikonny, and Pigma Dengar, attempted to penetrate the force field barriers on the outside of the construct. There were six energy towers, protected by heavily shielded Androssian drone fighters, and at the center of the construct seemed to be a massive gateway, protected by a vast array of shield generators, ion cannons, and even more drone fighters in reserve. The space outside of the construct was filled with energetic plasma carried by intense solar winds, flares and prominences, and extreme magnetic fields. Even the relatively protected area around the construct was a war zone, with all of the automated defenses in place. The approach would not be easy, but Star Panther seemed undaunted by the challenge.

Pigma Dengar: *oink* Just like old times, Andrew old pal....

Andrew Oikonny: These fighter drones are no match for us!

Panther Caroso: Easy to outmaneuver... they haven't built a computer yet that can fly better than me. But their ships are heavily shielded.... my blasters can't penetrate it.

Pigma Dengar: Here, let me try mine! ....*oink* No good, I can't break through. Let's try it together, Delta formation.

Andrew Oikonny: I'm in position.

Panther Caroso: Fire on my mark.... ready, set, mark.

The three Wolfen ships concentrated their firepower, and overloaded the enemy fighter group's shield grid. The force of the blow caused the drones to scatter, some of them impacting the energy towers, others crashing into the gate itself.

Pigma Dengar: That's it, we've still got it! Okay, how about those energy towers?

Andrew Oikonny: Bow before the great Andrew.

Panther Caroso: We'll take them down with one shot each, on my mark.....

The Panther team easily took down the 6 energy towers, which cut power to the Gate's shield generator. The force field began disappearing....

Pigma Dengar: We did it! But there's more fighters approaching fast, coming out of the gate....

Andrew Oikonny: I'm not afraid of them!

Panther Caroso: We're going to break through that squadron, and meet inside. Let's get going....

Pigma Dengar: Wait a second. There's something else emerging from the gate.... they're massive....

Shogun Droid: Ah ah ah.... you didn't say the magic word!

Gorgon: We are the gatekeepers.... are you the keymasters?

The Shogun and The Gorgon appeared from within the Gate, and immediately began chasing after Panther Caroso with mech droids flanking and missiles launching. A missile exploded directly behind Panther himself, sending him flying toward the edge of the satellite, toward the dangerous radiance of the star below them.

Panther Caroso: Perhaps today.... IS a good day to die!!

Shogun Droid: These freaks are awfully cocky if they think they could defeat the great Andross with just two ships.

Gorgon: Aww.... did the little kitty hurt its paw? Come here and let me kiss it... I'll make the pain go away PERMANENTLY!!!

Shogun Droid: My incredible skills are wasted on these amateurs!

Panther Caroso: Amateurs!? *growl* That's it.... you've gone and pissed me off now.

Pigma Dengar: This wannabe doesn't seem to know who he's messing with.... That's Panther Caroso, leader of our veteran mercenary team. He's even got a custom ship. Who the hell are you? Panther Caroso: We can destroy it if we concentrate our firepower. Once the shield is gone, we can hit his plasma gun and he'll be defenseless.

Shogun Droid: What the heck are these guys thinking? Aiming right for my shield? This thing is made out of triple-reinforced duranium-carbon alloy. You'll never get through this.

Pigma Dengar: Don't count on it. I just upgraded this ship with the latest forced-pulse lithium ion hyper blasters. *oink*

Panther Caroso: Fire on my mark........ three, two, one, MARK.

Shogun Droid: What the heck?

Gorgon: These guys are crazy.... I'll shoot 'em down.

Andrew Oikonny: The shield is gone.

Shogun Droid: I'm done playing. I don't need a shield... I just need you guys DEAD!!! Dodge this, fools!

Panther Caroso: I'm hit again..... get back guys, my reactor is about to go critical.....

Shogun Droid: No! Get away!

Gorgon: No! SHOGUN!!! I can't see a thing, my view screen just overloaded! I'll just have to fire blindly.... DIE DIE DIE!!!!

Pigma Dengar: Now's our chance.... we've got to try to enter the Core.

Andrew Oikonny: I think we should stay and defeat the Gorgon.

Pigma Dengar: We don't have time to discuss it. Andross has nearly wiped us all out, and we've gotta stop him, or I won't get my reward! Now you'll follow orders or you can pack up your little ship and go home.

Andrew Oikonny: .....Very well. Lead the way, pig.

Pigma Dengar and Andrew Oikonny flew into the wormhole being generated at the center of the Death Gate. Now they would begin their final showdown with Andross.

CONFRONTATION

Pigma Dengar and Andrew Oikonny flew down the center of the wormhole, directly into the CORE of the supermassive star, Lylat. It was within the star itself that Andross was able to generate the kind of power needed to fold space and project his endless supply of missiles at the targets of the Lylat System. The wormhole was reinforced by Anti-gravity generator rings, powered by the star's own intense polar magnetic field. The wormhole lead all the way to the center of the star, where Andross made his stronghold. Within the star itself, and with total control over the orbital Gate, Andross was invincible.

Pigma Dengar: I knew Andross was crazy, even though he always paid pretty well. I just didn't think he was this crazy. This entire place is one giant deathtrap!

Andrew Oikonny: Uncle Andross.... he's not crazy, he's a genius. Why couldn't WE have a hideout this brilliantly designed?

Pigma Dengar: *oink* Are you kidding me? If anything happens to the Gate generator, or if the force fields keeping the Core from collapsing go offline for any reason, this place will be crushed by the force of over 100 solar masses! Only Andross could come up with a base of operations this unstable. Andross is an insane fool.

Andrew Oikonny: Maybe he's just far, far more clever than you.

Pigma Dengar: SHUT UP! Don't speak to your superior that way. I'm the leader, and from now on, you'll refer to me as Star Pig!

Andrew Oikonny: So be it, pig.

Pigma Dengar: There he is.... I spot Andross up ahead. Let's finish this fool and claim our reward! *oink*

The remnants of the Cornerian Army returned home, only to find their homeworld under attack by the Androssian menace: Gorgon.

Gorgon: Those who cross Andross will die! The Androssian Empire will NEVER fall! Our leader will return, and when he does, you.... are.... DOOMED!!!

General Pepper: Blue unit, cover the base. Don't allow anything to get through! I'll be arriving down on the planet shortly.

Gorgon: I'm going to crush you... you annoying little flies.....
