    Default Hi there.

Some of you may or may not have seen my post in the S2TW forum.

I was thinking of getting this game, mainly because I wanna see what it looks like and it hardly costs anything anymore. I haven't looked into it all that much, because I didn't really like the whole gunpowder thing back when this was released.

Now I wonder which one to get if not both... If I buy Napoleon, is there a point to Empire or is it like an expansion?

What are the differences between the two games? Which one is better to get if you enjoy looking at neat lines of people shooting each other and nice sea battles?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hard to answer.

I was really hesitant about gunpowder to but it really grew on me, especially the sea battles. Most gripes associated with ETW have been addressed in patches or with mods. I haven't played NTW but it's a case between more pollished (NTW) and a bigger scale (ETW).

I would get them both again even if I had to pay new prices.

ETW is fun and covers most of the world.

NTW is smooth, elegant , and different enough to make it all worth while.

NTW also has great MP play. Campaigns and all.

    Have fun!
