    Default Star Wars : T R O L L

Within 20 minutes, over two thousand users already have replied to the topic on the SWTOR forums about receiving two emails. In rage, frustration, upset and hurt. I felt a great disturbance in the Forums, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in joy, and were suddenly silenced..

Being one of these many people, I will post screenshots of the emails. As a note, I am not in the Beta and neither were these several other thousand.

    Great going Bioware!

I don't understand, what's so objectionable about surveys?
Give me an eye small enough, and I will transform guttering candles into exploding stars.
This was the way with some men. They sealed themselves in, bricked their ears and their mouths, and spent their remaining days speaking only with their eyes—until these too became inscrutable. Many, you could wager, held chaos in their hearts, shrill and juvenile. But since ignorance is immovable, they seem immovable, imperturbable. Such is the power of silence.

They were never in the Beta in the first place, then they all got emails going "Thanks for taking part in the Beta"...

Lets say you was eyeing up two very attractive females, who was wanting you to take part in some "fun". Being very interested, you sign up, so you are stood there waiting, really eager to meet these females. You suddenly get a call to enter the room, you get all excited and hurry towards the door and open it, to discover that it was "Thank you for experiencing these two models.. please take your survey to rate your experience", you look back through into the room you came in, thinking you missed these two women, you get anxious going "Oh no, did I enter through the wrong door?!" "I have lost the opportunity?" and in a frantic panic lose your head and run around in circles sobbing yourself to sleep whilst Bioware goes:

I got the same email despite never having participated in the beta. Made me do a double-take..

Funny stuff, but I am so uninterested in TOR it didn't really phase me other than causing a laugh.

    I get it.

But models? More like pole dancers, really.

Well based on past history and the email I would have replied:

"Like most extended universe IP it had a pretty cover but gameplay was neither groundbreaking nor particularly user friendly. Much like Episodes I,II & III they were light on content and left an initial bitter feeling towards the Star Wars universe. This seems to be more of a poorly thought out marketing effort on the level of a Nigerian scam then anything one could call end user friendly. So even the marketing felt dated and derivative."

Bioware needs to refund peoples money they spent on getting the wookie suits dry cleaned and their armor polished. Everyone knows you play MMOs better when in costume and unemployed.

Besides, I thought they cancelled SWG???

You should still fill out the survey. It's important that they get feedback to help shape the most anticipated MMO to date.

    DERP

On September 29th, you received two emails regarding the Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ Game Testing Program. These emails were sent to you by mistake. This was due to an internal error and not the result of hacking or malware. Please be assured that no personal information was compromised. We are sorry for any confusion this may have caused. Please note that receipt of these e-mails does not affect your chances to be invited to test the game at a later date.

Between now and launch, we will be conducting additional large scale Beta Testing Weekends where we will be inviting more people than ever before. Additionally we will be releasing even more information about the game as we gear up for launch in December. If you haven't signed up for game testing yet, you can still do so at www.swtor.com/tester.
    Thank you for your understanding,
The Star Wars: The Old Republic team.
