A glorious season. Bern, Strasbourg, Frankfurt, Antwerp, Ajaccio, and that wooden settlement in North Africa all fell to the glorious forces of the Moors. Additionally, the Sicilian fleet lurking near Sardinia was wiped out.

    Lithuania up! @Nigel

And to add up, which Strasbourg you are talking of? If I recall correct, there is no "Strasbourg" named city on SS map...

I must be remembering the name wrong. It is the castle just above Bern in the Alps.

My SS_Launcher.exe is refusing to start and yes, before you ask, I have already tried running SS_setup.exe again with no avail :P

Basically, when I click the .exe to run it, the little blue circle that appears when loading stuff appears next to my cursor for a second or two before disappearing. The disk doesn't even start to spin in the drive. All other .exe's on my system seem to work fine except this one, although I did do a windows update last night. Do you guys think that could be the cause of the problem?

What version of windows are you using? Do you have admin privileges? If you have vista there is a thing, can't remember what it is called, but its a weird security thing, you have to turn off to run SS.

I remember having a difficult time with installing M2TW patch and mod.

Here is the link to my trials and tribulations, including a summary of how I got it to work in the end.

Unfortunately, that didn't seem to work... I don't get any error message as such - there is just the loading icon next to the cursor for a second or two then it disappears and nothing starts.. >.<..

UPDATE: Ok, I'v reinstalled Kingdoms and disabled UAC, but the problem still persists. One thing I have noticed though is that when the loading icon disappears, kingdoms.exe appears to be under 'processes' in the task manager, but it is not accessible..

UPDATE 2: This morning I was going to try a short-term solution to the problem - play the turn on my laptop. But, just my luck, it fails to launch there to. Instead of the game simply not loading, the disk starts to spin but then it crashes to a BSOD, great..

UPDATE 3: After leaving my computer for about half an hour, two error messages have appeared, probably from the two times I attempted to run SS:

Hey iggy, long time no see!

    How's it goin?

In any case, I'm glad to finally be avenging you. I never thought it was necessary for them to kill you off. :) Of course, if I manage to sack Genoa myself it sure won't be helping your people any. XD

    Fatimids @phonicsmonkey

Slightly dizzy *hiccup* when completed turn. I can not allow myself the luxury of asking extension :)
Zim and NB, remember, no attacking Admiral Ragnar in North Sea since poor fleet was defeated last turn...
Re-took Frankfurt with spy. Inverness was pain for my poor head. Another English King is dead, dying alone in Edingburgh Castle.
Also, era of biological warfare has begun...

I'm actually slowly losing interest to game since it's running slowly. I'm not willing to give it away though :)

    Cumans are up, @Rougeman

@slysnake, Admiral Guilelmo cannot move next turn (that's your big fleet)

I feel like Silvershield, with his knack of taking out huge armies with just a couple of horses, could have done more with this turn than I did....

    Amongst other things, yes

By the way this turn I took Arta and Scopia. It'd be great if everyone else could post their conquests like this so we can all keep track of what's happening in between our turns.
