Hello Delta 6, welcome to the .Org .

I dislike having to welcome you with a skeptical message, but just how do you plan to turn R:TW's rigid formations into the kind of fluid positioning of modern missile combat? I'd say the reason there isn't a WWI mod is because the engine doesn't accomodate it.

Yes, that was Napoleonic Total War 2. It was an multiplayer-only mod, though. R:TW's A.I. simply isn't programmed to deal with this kind of warfare. N:TW2 did include a single-player historical battle, but they had to script the A.I.'s behaviour to make it work. That isn't feasible for a single-player campaign.

Also, Napoleonic warfare still revolved around dense formations, volley fire and cavalry charges. Those things didn't work so well anymore in WW1.
