STW download will not start...

Hey guys!!
They told me you guys are the experts on everything Total War so here's my problem:
I'm trying to install STW in my Win 7 machine but each time I click Install the menu closes and then nothing happens!!!
I've alrady posted this problem on other site but nothing!! here is my info:

I've played MTW before but have never played STW so im really itching to play it. I'm kind of a noob so I have no idea what to do. Hope I can really get help from you. If you need more info just tell me what you need and I'll be happy to provide it for you. Thanks!!

BTW, I'm trying to install Win 98 on Virtualbox to see if that will work. Do you think it will??

Your thread title mentions the word "download". If it's an illegal download, that's probably why it won't start...

Sorry I did not mean download I meant Installation... I bought the cds at a yardsale sometimes ago but wasn't able to play it. If you see I posted this at like midnight and was able to solve the problem around 2 am. It somehow just started working all of the sudden...

If you don't belive me check the tags that i associated my problem when I started this thread. One of them is installation.

Have a look on the disk and run the "setup.exe" there instead of trying to install from the autorun screen.
