Well. This means BSmith was mafia and transferred his guilt since he knew we were going to lynch him.

Also, by Day 2 literally anyone could be mafia. Realistically, this means that ATPG has about a 90% chance of being mafia as well as a 90% chance of being scanned innocent last night.

Wouldn't BSmith come up as mafia if he really was Yakuza? Nothing about them showing up as innocent in the description of the Yakuza, unless I'm missing something:

2x yakuza. They can kill one person per night (unless this person is protected) as a mafia kill. Instead of kill, starting on night 2, one of them can ‘yak’: he kills himself, and targeted player becomes mafia member(there is no mafia kill this night; the only dead person is yakuza player himseif). Everyone can be targeted and there is no way to stop it. The second yakuza can use his ability later, in place of another mafia kill. If yakuza is protected while ‘yaking’, he is alive AND his target becomes mafia! Yakuza can, then, ‘yak’ another player at following night. All townies (including policeman) can be 'yaked'.

Nothing about alignment, unless I'm misreading something. Given that,

Edit: I may or may not place a perfunctory single vote on some lucky candidate unlikely to be lynched, later in any given round, right at that point where it is highly unlikely they get lynched.

In truth, the only reason I'm going to do that much is to give me something to do every round, and to give the mafia more options for the counter-bandwagon to save themselves.
