Default Problem with Romani recruitment area (I think)

    Hello all

I've started a Romani campaign a few days ago and all was well but I've bumped into a pretty huge problem since I started conquering stuff.

I slowly took the Italian peninsula and then set my eyes northward. I took Segestica and made it a homeland province, and built a barracks when I couldn.

I then took over the other two there in the north except for Mediolanum, I'm holding off war with the Gauls for now. I built the homeland marker but I noticed that I couldn't build my barracks there! I destroyed the old barracks so even if that was possibly an issue... I'm not sure what caused this because I always activate the script and I never had any weird save crashings or something.

Should I re-start my campaign or is there some fix to this?

    Thanks in advance,

    Sel Sel

This is a feature of EB and is called AOR (area of recruitment) and factional reforms.

Best thing would be to read the EB-FAQ and this collection of hints.

    Read the FAQ.

You can build local MICs everywhere. You did set up a government first, did you?

    Yes, I did..

I built type 1 homeland markers there. But I don't know why I can build my own barracks in one of those three cities, but not the other 2 I conquered. All 3 are homeland 1!

    No you did not.

Q: As the Romans, why can't I build factional MICs in X area.
A: The Romans can only build factional MICs in areas that contain Roman units. The area expands based on the reform level (see below). During the Camilian Era, you can build factional MICs in your starting cities plus Segesta. During the Polybian Era, you can build factional MICs in "Homeland" regions (Italy). During the Marian & Avgvstan Eras, you can build factional MICs everywhere, but have limited recruitment, based on the area.
