Last year I had an abortive attempt at getting a team tournament up and running. Safe to say, it didn't work out so well. I'm going to give this another shot since we have had some requests for fitting 2v2's and 3v3's into a tournament context.
Rules would be thus:
1. Players are limited to 1 faction choice through the entire month, just as in the 1v1 tourney. However you can pick a different faction from your 1v1 tournament if you'd wish.
2. The match would have to be accepted as a tournament match by all players as to be fair.
3. Signups would be on the forum but walk-ins throughout the month will be accepted.
4. Players are not limited to teammates, rather anyone can team with anyone. Players will be required to police this themselves so as to prevent abuses but I think the community as a whole is honest and not too concerned with titles.
5. Points will be awarded like this: Each victorious team a player is a part of earns +1 points for him individually. Each losing team he is a part of earns -1 points.
6. The winners will be based on point total, or theoretically, we can have a final match up in the last week between the 1st through 4th best players for the month. Logistically this may be tricky however so I'm still not sold on that.
7. Replays will be required from the winning side to prove their valor in battle!
Thanks and see you on Hamachi!
