    Default Help - Basic Editing - Unit Changes Won't Save

    I have spent a week looking through this site and others trying to find out why my changes to the unit file will not save and play in the game. Any thoughts or direction would be helpful.

    running windows 7

    *I upgraded to v1.2 (including a clean install)
    *unpacked (disabling user control)
    *created a mod folder using a guide listed here
    *created the .cfg file and placed it in mymod folder (including making it read only)
    [features] mod = mymod
    [log]
    to = logs/system.log.txt
    level = * error
    *created the .bat file and placed it inside the MW2 folder
    medieval2.exe @ mymod.cfg
    *I copied the data folders and data files as suggested (even coping them all)
    *I also deleted the two descr_geography files

    The game boots up great, however none of my changes work. I am looking to do some basic editing. What I tried to change as a test was the Hobilars entry (cost of unit from 280 to 28). Any suggestions would again be great.

    Thanks

    I haven't modded M2TW in a while, but are you sure the cfg goes to your mod folder? I think it should be in the root folder, since how is medieval2.exe supposed to find it if it's not exactly there? Or if you really need to put that cfg in a separate folder, you should tell the game it's exact path eg. medieval2.exe @ mymod\mymod.cfg
