    Default Rain

You really stop appreciating rain till you have gone weeks without it. It is finally raining! Not a second too soon as well, because the corn was browning and all the grass on the lawn was dying. We've had crazy weather in WI this year: a sissified Winter with almost no snow and fairly high temperatures, and now drought!
Well, looks like it is finally over! May the grass grow again!

It's rained everyday since Saturday here, not supposed to stop until Tuesday.

I need some rain here, we only got some spitting this morning. I love the rain, it's the only time when I can just stare at the sky during the day and not be considered crazy.

It rained really hard for like 10 minutes last night and then today it rained a little a bit and it was overcast all day. The last time we got rain was in March I think, I can't really remember. I love rainy days, they put me in a really good mood for some reason. And I love the smell of wet sagebrush after a rain storm.

lol, I was in Washington once and it was enough for me. I hate droughts, but I probably hate constant rain even more. I spend a lot of time outside, and I wear glasses. Rain and glasses is not a good combo.

Same sissified winter here in Indiana (thank goodness), but the drought's still going strong. We finally had a few rainstorms come through, but they've been few and far between. Grass is dying all over, and I don't want to think about how bad it must be for the farmers.

Not much rain here. I guess the US really needs rain right now, especially in Colorado.

The pacific northwest is a silly place.

Bah sure what would ye know about rain.

Sure we have so few fine days here that even we rank some rainy days along with that one not rainy day we get in august.

This is what is know as a mild day

    this is a soft day

these are in the same category as a sunny day which I believe was once deliverd to us by fedex during the Golden Calf Boom Economy times

lol, thanks to recent rain my corn is a lush green, and all my neighbors corn is browning. :P My ground is the sandiest I have ever seen too, so I have no idea how that happened. (I don't irrigate)

I miss summer thunderstorms, I rarely have them anymore and they used to only be uncommon. All I get are wussy winter thunderstorms.

Sunday of last week started out as a clear, sunny day, but then around 4 in the after noon dark clouds appeared out of nowhere, and then 10 minutes later it was raining, and it was coming down hard. The raindrops were the size of quarters, and it hailed a little bit too. After about 20 minutes or so it stopped raining and the sky cleared up again. It rained so hard that just that short amount of time was enough to cause flash floods, and several of my neighbors houses got flooded. It was craziness.
