    Default EXPENDABLES II

IT'S COMING TOMORROW! (and you probably are now)
See it for the explosions! See it for the laughs! See it for the fights! See it for the guns! See it for peace! See it for your country (wherever you happen to live)! See it for your fellow man!
Hammer, anvil, forge and fire, chase away The Hoofed Liar. Roof and doorway, block and beam, chase The Trickster from our dreams.
Vigilance is our shield, that protects us from our squalid past. Knowledge is our weapon, with which we carve a path to an enlightened future.

Aaaaaaaaaah... 2 hours of fast paced brainless action full of one liners and explosions...

Anyone with something dingling between their legs just HAVE to love this film...

Was I the only one who laughed at the Chuck Norris line with the king cobra?

No, everyone in the theater I saw it in laughed. You could see it a mile away but it was still amazing.

Well that was a load of rubbish they shoulda never got this idea in there head they need more and more old foggies on the screen.

Norris, Arnie and Willis were just awful at least JCVD and Stallone understood the job was to be over the top and deadpan not over the hill and wooden.

This film is way better than the first... The first was kind of a "meh" for me...

This go around, they take the whole production less seriously, and they don't take themselves too seriously. I think that's what made this film more appreciable in my eyes...

Last film was over the top... This one is even more over the top, but now with a wink in the eye..

See? As long as its fun to watch it can be considered a decent movie.

    Agreed.

    I'm not advocating it's a "good" film.

It's 2 very enjoyable hours of action and jokes.. No more, but most def not less..

Its the kind of movie I would watch with my buddies over cold beers.

Or, as my friend did, take a shot whenever Stallone spoke.

The first one took itself way too seriously. There were almost no corny one liners and they actually talked about the plot occasionally.

The second has lots of corny one liners and the only point of the plot is to murder more Albanian bandits in the most bad ass way possible and everyone acknowledges that.

Also lol people complaining about Ahnold being wooden. That was his thing!

The only thing I wished they changed was something they kept from the first one - the idea that Sylvester Stallone has a chance with hot 20-something. He's old enough to be their grandfather and he's so freakishly veiny. Come on.

I know plenty of girls who would do him still...

Heck, I'd do him myself... But only because it would be a wonderfully random thing to mention when his name pops up :)
