Default Freak accident in anticipated sea-battle movie set claims one casualty

The highly anticipated Japanese historical war movie "Kanmon's Fog" claimed one life today. As the movie's staff on the set started removing mannequins to finish their hard work of the day, they discovered that an actor had been fatally shot on the lower deck of the ship. The actor was announced dead when the paramedics arrived.

According to the coroner, the actor's time of death coincided with the "shooting scene" earlier today, where hundreds of arrows were fired by real actors toward a target ship full of mannequins. The actor probably stepped on the the target ship by accident.

Police has ruled out foul play or suicide. Judging from the fact that the corpse was facing the ship, the actor might have had realized that he was in danger, but was too late to enter the ship's lower deck for shelter.

The movie's director maltz claims that he followed all safety precautions in making this movie, and no actors would be harmed - theoretically.

"Kanmon's Fog" depicts a critical sea battle in 1556, in the peak of Japan's civil war period. The movie is scheduled to release in 2013.

Sure, the police have ruled out foul play. The archers all just happened to aim at the only moving mannequin on the ship. I think this 'maltz' character ought to be investigated a little more closely....
