LATER THAT NIGHT
The SWAT team burst in through the gates of Mafia Land to the compound just beyond. They kicked down the front door.
Inside was a somewhat non-descript room; at one end was an elevator.
“It’s this way. Follow me.”
Choxorn led them to the elevator. When the door opened up, they saw that the inside was covered in drawn-on buttons in ridiculous places with ridiculous names. There was only one button that worked, and it went down to the basement.
The elevator opened up to a room with a giant TV screen on the wall. The screen was off. In one corner a green pipe-shaped doorway lead out.
The pipe-shaped doorway took them to a very large room. Choxorn stopped them before they entered.
“Better put on the gas masks now.”
The room was full of gears and pulleys and movable cardboard walls painted with strange scenery.
They found a vent. This was the source of a strange smell.
“Hallucinogenic mushroom gas.”
“Is that what it was? Makes sense. It all looked so real...”
As they continued in toward the center of the room, another smell became apparent – death. Approximately 25 dead bodies were strewn across the room, killed in gruesome ways and in varying states of decay.
“What kind of psycho could do something like this?”
“After I came to my senses, I hid out in the TV room for about a week. I was only able to get out when they came back to the elevator – the host had the keys, but I managed to snatch them off him. Luckily there was a lot of candy down here, too…”
In the center they found the two survivors.
They were both laughing manaically. One had blood dripping from his mouth, the other just drool. They were sitting on the floor holding a couple of gingerbread men, which they were making motions with and playing with, as if they were dolls. One of them held a melted Klondike bar with a rock lodged in it, and was waving it about excitedly.
“Poor guys… they look even crazier than the rest of them did.”
A few feet away was the body of the suspect. Known only as “Chaotix”, he had been on the run for about a year after a string of murders at a Star Trek convention. He had pulled the same thing there, too – drugged the victims and pretended he was the AI on a space ship, then led them on a “journey” in which all but one of them died.
“He tried to shoot me the first day, but he missed. I pretended to be dead, and the rest just sort of didn’t realize, I guess. He may have had that gas mask the whole time but he had to be on some other kind of drugs. Either that or just plain crazy.”
The team carried the two survivors out on stretchers, and then they shut down Mafia Land for good.
The two survivors are currently in rehabilitation. A medical inspection has found LSD in their systems as well as the mushroom gas present in all the other victims. Curiously, one of the survivors – known by his friends as “Visorslash”, was also the lone survivor of the previous incident. The other, known as “LazyMcCrow”, appears to be unrelated.
One thing is for sure: they will have quite a story to tell, if they remember any of it.
THANK YOU FOR PLAYING!!

Makrell - Is in sweet, sweet heaven.
TinCow - Shouldn't have lost his head in that argument.

Well done Evil Candycanes. Thanks for hosting Chaotix (very nice Write-ups).
A pity I died on N1.

Thanks Chaotix for hosting - certainly an interesting experience!
Congrats to Lazy and Visorslash on a well-played game...

It was a pity. Worst thing that could have happened for the games sake. Thanks to Chaotix for being a great host. I hope I learned alot this time around. As I said in the QT, and I'm not sure if it is clear to everyone, when either Visor or I were killed the remaining gingerbread man could kill 2 per night, so once White_Eyes:D was lynched there was really no chance of us losing - this afforded me the luxury of being as much of an ass as I wanted to (in the game) - a gift horse I was not about to look in the mouth :)
Thanks to Visor for being an excellent Scum-mate and mentor!
Well played both scum teams, and thanks for the hosting Chaotix! You pulled off the choose your own adventure idea with style.
Ewww...this didn't end as expected... I blame the council of dead townies! Those defending Visor first! :P
Congratulations sweet men!!
Great write ups Chaotix, thanks for hosting!
returning to the shadows.....
Well done scum! A smoother finish I have rarely seen. Quite impressive.
I'll take some small solace that my two initial top suspects were correct. Not that it mattered anyway.
Congrats guys.

Well played Gingerbread men. At what point did you recruit ATPG?
Thanks for hosting, Chaotix!
Achievement unlocked: Play such an entertaining ghost that the host officially recognizes your ghostiness and puts you in the final updates.
thank you for the game, Chaotix and fellow players
and...
I love to hate you, Visor, for what you are doing to me every second game where I am mafia
Visor, you realize you're going to be lynched D1 next Chaotix game, right?
@Visorslash Did you do this intentionally?

The tally?
Well I posted the tally intentionally, but I left the parentheses open because I was (in truth) lazy.
Where's the postgame essay Chaotix?
Anyway, I don't know if I have said it, but once again, great writeups, really well done and as I said earlier, I loved the tie ins to the first game.
Also, as I said before we won, thanks to those that showed up in the final day to make it really interesting.
Haha, I am afraid I don't have nearly enough time to do a post-game essay for this one.
Anyway, thanks to everyone for the compliments; I enjoyed hosting this game as much as (I hope) you enjoyed playing it.
A couple of interesting notes/facts:
-This game had just as many posts as Pirate Ninja Robot Zombie Mafia IN SPACE, but only half of the total page-views.
-I had decided by about Day 2 that I was going to have that twist ending (i.e. it wasn't real and you were all on drugs). For that reason I threw in a bunch of clues along the way hinting toward that. The most obvious is Foreman Chaotix's gas mask, mentioned nearly every write-up- take a look and see if you can find the others.
-There's also a sequel hook, but it's difficult to spot.
-As you can see via the quicktopics, that messed up write-up that got Arjos lynched was more or less totally my fault. I think afterwards Jarema had about as much chance to win as Arjos did if I hadn't made the mistake, but I still feel terrible about it obviously.
-This is probably obvious now, but the only roles in the game were the two scum teams. The Coldenskians had two kills until one died and their kills dropped to one. The Gingerbreads had one kill unless one died and then their kills would jump up to two. If I had done this game again, I probably would have given the Coldenskians three members to start.
-This is also probably obvious, but the story choices never had any effect on the actual game - only the story. Even the second Bingo game, had you chosen to go for it, wouldn't have ended the game - I had a contingency plan to "kill" you all, and then the game would continue for a few rounds in Underworld Land until you managed to win your lives back. Another planned story arc: had you gone west to Greener Pastures instead of Snow Man's Land, you would have wound up in a pastiche of Animal Farm. I was a little disappointed that never made it into the game.
That's about all I can remember to say about this one. If you have any questions, ask away.

If it makes you feel any better my vote on Arjos had absolutely nothing to do with the write-up mistake.
