Since each stage is a little bit different and introduces some twists to the rules then I can just say that engaging/disengaging (attacking/fleeing) will affect your game in later parts of the game.

2. The Open Sea
As the pirates got further and further from their beloved Pirate town and suddenly noticed some sails in the distance following them. At first they thought that some pirate captain have decided to make a last minute decision to get to the Skull Island as well but they were wrong... It was a British warship! More important than ever it's not to be the last in this "race"!
Whose ship gets damaged enough to be the last will be attacked by the British warship... you can expect them not to be "cowards like pirates" (Your ship will be damaged even more).
During this stage players can target only ships hull and sails!

Important!
1) If you attack or repair your ships then please copy all the stats above to your post. Also, if the Captain decides to attack someone then copy your ship stats and move them to the same area where your target is.
2) There are two groups "Escapees" and "Followers". You can attack only ship in your group!
3) A ship from the "Escapees" can fall to the "Followers" group if it loses 1/4 of it's sails (Currently it means The Galactic Chutzpah's or Fanny Adams' sails must be less than 90)

Ignoring the fact that morse code probably hadn't been invented yet, he was confident they would understand his offer of truce during this time, to ensure they both came through this unscathed. Let the other two ships blow each other to bits.

Just so you know the British warship will attack the last ship. If there are 2 ships in equal strength in the last position then it will attack both ships.. So, you really don't want to be the last one.
