They shouldn't sell it as a MOBA (bleh gross) but as a F2P World in Conflict MP.

Also, mixed setting? bleh bleh bleh

Well im not aware of any such announcement. They only said that sega has bought the warhammer licence. But we dont know whether it will be a total war game or something completely different.

I tried to think of something CA could announce I'd care less about and failed.

Every bit of resource development time dedicated to either MP or other platforms than PC is a distraction that pulls away from core development.

And speaking of that, I've asked repeatedly if they are running a open or closed beta, no response. Which I take to be an answer.

While I was also waiting for an official Warhammer Fantasy Announcment, I'm slowly warming up to this new concept. I think it will be good for CA to have this MP sandbox at their disposal where they can take the MP side to new levels and also reach a whole other audience. I like that they reduce the focus to three units per general and put more focus on working together. It will be interesting to see it work, but it could really make for some fun MP battles on the side. And since it will be F2P there is no reason to not check it out!

You are assuming that there is only one set of developers working on TW and that PC devs all swap to mobile dev for each iteration.

From what CA have stated in the past and from the credits in the various games you will see a fair bit of talent pool and variation between games. The PC game appears to almost alternate which team is developing TW. With one team deploying the current version while another gets ready for the next with a different AI approach.

Kind of reminds me of football games where you control one player. Could be funny, at least. It sounds difficult to implement without a clear command structure though.

I fear that this MP focus will damage the quality of TW games.
The best part of the TW experience is represented by the 2 maps, the startegical map and the tactical map, this is the winning feature of their games and this feature is closely related to Single Player Campaign.
