    France up. @TheCeLL

Sorry for the overlong wait guys.

The Holy Roman Empire has been betrayed! As two of our armies set sail for Anatolia to free the Greek lands from Seljuk occupation, the Papal States have been usurped! Mad with warmongering, the Pope has excommunicated us for simply defending our lands from aggression and has even laid siege to Bologna! He himself is leading the army!

It is obvious that the Vatican is rife with corruption and that the current Pope serves himself and his own mad ambitions to match secular rulers in might and wealth. Thus, we have elected an Antipope in Nurnberg and prepare to remove "His Holiness" from power.

We urge all true christians to side with us in this conflict, and are open to negotiations. The Empire is rich and mighty and generous to its friends.

In thanks to the French king, who helped us defend our city from the Scottish onslaught, we offer aid should he need it, both in men and coin.

(my Assassins are only at 10% chance. This is going to get messy!)

Haha, it seems the Kaiser has attracted quite a foe. Our King waits to see if this pope truly is devil possessed, or whether he is a true pope who shall be brought to victory over imperial forces by the will of the almighty.

Noble Polish King, the Pope waited for our two complete armies to set sail in the Adriatic before he stabbed us in the back and started terrorizing Northern Italy. It is a grim day indeed for a descendant of Charlemagne to wage war againt rome instead of in her defence, but it must be done for the greater good of Catholicism.

Being a true devout catholic, la Roi du France is reluctant to go to war with such haste against the pope. However, he does recognize his aggression, and concluded that he must be corrupted. La Roi du France will side with the antipope on this conflict.

France also plans to retake Provence from Genoa.

The pope's interference in Norwegian affairs forces the Supreme Viking () to agree with the Kaiser that the so-called pope is a warmongering fool. We cannot send anything other than our moral support to you and wish the Kaiser a speedy victory over the Unholy One.

Upon seeing our armies return to the shores of Italy, His Cowardice the Pope has ran back towards the safety of Rome. His inept maneuvering allowed the Kaiser to catch his retreating men in the open field. The Papal guard fought bravely and sacrificed thousands to allow the Pope to run back to Rome with his tail between his legs. Next season comes a siege on Roma hereslf. God willing, we will be free of Anslem's scourge soon enough.

We remind our French allies to stay firm on the coast where the Scotts have encamped en masse. We shall be rid of them in due time. We also thank all the kings of Europe who stand behind us. This loyalty shall not be forgotten.

Le Roi Du France has commenced his campaign to drive the italians out of Provence. He also continues to reinforce his armies in the north to aid our german allies in their defense against the scottish invaders.

The Scotts seem to be gaining the upper hand in the duchy of Flanders! We implore the French King to send more men. Vienna has been attacked by the Hungarians. As the Pope has sealed his fate and is not expected to survive long, we offer the King of Poland the opportunity to reclaim his ancestral lands from the treacherous Magyars.

Sorry this took so long! School is back along with all its work! :/

Le Roi du France unfortunatley has but a small regiment of troops stationed in Northern France, however with the victory at Marseilles, we now have a sizeable army ready for battle. Le Roi du France asks the Kaiser where this army is needed the most - fighting scots in the north, or the fake pope to the south?

The false Pope has been besieged by the Kaiser himself and his son the Duke of Bavaria. The Scotts must be pushed back and we also encourage France to provision a landing force under at least 100 sail and send them to quell the Scottish threat.

We fully back the claims of the French crown over England as well, as it is the hereditary right of the Plantagenets.

It appears the Scotts have been bashing their thick heads against our castle walls time and again. A sorite is in order soon. Venice has been recaptured from the treacherous venetian merchants and their sellswords, and Genoa is under siege. Who holds the northern lands of Denmark?

Rome falls! And with it the warmongering Pope. We hope the next Bishop of Rome is more benevolent and wise. A siege on Bologna by the traitorous Sicillians has been repelled, and armies have been marched to relief the long siege on Anthwerp by the barbarous Scotts.

(I can't give Rome back to the Papal stats and ask for peace via diplo, right?)
