Moding recruiting of mercs
I'd like to mod my game so merc units can be re-trained. I've tried EB and it CTD's a bit too much for my liking. Would it be very easy to do this,or failing that,which other mods allow me to do this? The AI being a bit some sane so to speak and not declaring war for no reason whatsoever,and being a bit harder would also be welcome..

I've heard good things about Rome: Total Realism but I haven't tried it. Why don't you go over to our EB forums and ask the guys for help with the CTDs?
