Thread: Kingmaker Mafia

  1. #31

    Default Re: Kingmaker Mafia

Having entrenched myself in the seat of power, I do proclaim myself to be Emperor Montmorency I, of the Montmorency Dynasty.

My line's rule shall continue eternally, without challenge or remonstration.

All Mafia will be granted clemency upon surrendering their persons into imperial custody.

    Long live the Emperor.

My first thought would be trying to reason how I would play this, if mafia...

I'm saying that my title of Emperor grants me Kingship for ever, which includes the duration of the game.

Furthermore, as Emperor I receive an elite bodyguard - so let's face it, either we watch me lynch all of you one by one to fish out the scum, or the scum give themselves up quickly and resign themselves to life-imprisonment within the dungeons.

Also, I'm sure there is no reason to lynch you - yet...

    Um...

I was under the impression that we received a new 'king', courtesy of the Kingmaker, each morning.

Your reign shall last as long as the kingmaker decides that he wants you as king.

    Or have I misunderstood?

    HEAR ME KINGMAKER
    Elect: Edse

Why do i want Edse for king, because he will use reasoing for his ultimate decision vote. If he is mafia his reasoning for his vote will still be at least partially benefical to town, or town will realize he is Mafia. If he is ton, he will work for the towns best interest.
Therefore i want edse for king. For reason and more.
Also DO NOT VOTE: Edse, lazy, makrell and others who miht contribute

Edse is a prolific poster which IMO usually provide good reasons for his votes, he is not a bandwagoner always either, which is good.
the other selection was just some posters. i would vote for any lurker and shorthposter.

Notwithstanding the other comments: but, how does this not describe Monty, or Lazy, or Darth Feather, or even, dare I say it, myself?

Monty is king already, hence cant be king again.

Choosing Edse over lazy or darth feather is a personal preference, i think he usually posts better. i do not know you very well, but cant recall seeing you do any big and grand analysis?.

The reason for my choosing an election vote is because posts day 1 provide data to be seen and thought of. I would suggest for all of us to "choose" a king, it provides better data than a vote right of random.org.

Ok. Reasonable answers and a clear statement as to why you are trying to elect a king. If you had this to begin with I would not have questioned it.

For the record (though I am sure that you know me) I tend to contribute - I just tend to be wrong...

I find it very suspicious that Makrell is trying to influence the Kingmaker at such an early stage.
It would be awful convenient for you if your scum partner edse was made King wouldn't it, Makrell?

BSmith can't possibly be scum, because he used a clown smiley.

Indeed it would, what valuable data to have about players if we knew who they wanted to become king.
Other than that i point to the "gameroom mafia discussion" and say that we need more day 1 info.

So i ask all players whom they would wih to be king, other than themselves.

BSmith, because he's so honest he'll probably just tell you if you ask him if he's mafia.

Or Curio, because I like his reasoning methods. Although I can't recall being in a game that he's been scum in, so I'm not really sure how his behaviour changes when he is scum.

This is just the sort of thing scum would say. A sip of WIFOM about one and then some non-commital opinion about another. Ferret I denounce you! Firstly, I place on you my INEFFECTIVE VOTE! (unvote, vote: Duke Ferret of Leet) THEN! - despite my lack of official Elector status, or indeed there being any such system of democracy in our land - I DO NOT elect you as King!. There. Take that. I agree with your choices though.

    .
That would be a really silly move. Why get your scumbuddy king from the beginning, instead on a more critical time. I mean, if we have a final standoff, it could be crucial to have a townie king instead of a scumking.
