Default RS2 Terrain in EB II?

I was wondering if the EB team was planning on implementing (if it was possible) terrain similar to the terrain in RS2. I assumed it could be done since with engines are similar. Overall I find it much more realistic, and beautiful, and it gives RIITW's terrain a run for it's money.

They also include various improvements like: new skies, tweaking the fog at distance, etc.:

And also to redo all of the vegetation(trees, bushes, rocks) is also planned for the future.

Looks good, but it still seems too flat and smooth. the RS2 terrain was much more realistic because it isn't so smooth everywhere.

I have to say there are things I consider significantly higher on the list of priorities than how the terrain (or frankly anything else graphical/cosmetic) looks. Gameplay is a lot more important to me than how it looks.
It began on seven hills - an EB 1.1 Romani AAR with historical house-rules (now ceased)
Heirs to Lysimachos - an EB 1.1 Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR with semi-historical houserules (now ceased)
    Philetairos' Gift - a second EB 1.1 Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR

Would you be able to provide some images to better illustrate your point?

Do you see how the terrain is rougher, how the hills roll better and how it looks far more realistic? I should have turned grass off so you could see the differences in height but there is a roughness to the terrain, that mimics how real life terrain is. Everything isn't perfectly flat, it just looks right. Of course the field maps are flat, but there is a certain roll and roughness to them too that also just looks right.

I think the difference between the above and EB II terrain is that the roughness is more localized. When you zoom in vanilla RTW or MTW, any small area of the map appears very smooth, and it appears that way in EB II as well. But with RS2 terrain, you can really see the roughness in the terrain when you zoom in, it isn't all smooth. The only shot that isn't zoomed to the ground is the Hills of Thrace shot. I hope that makes sense, and I've illustrated it.

When I look through the shots in thread, you see the smoothness: https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showt...post2053568021

    Do you see the difference?

RS2 terrain is truly amazing and spectacular honestly. The way some of the maps look honestly takes my breath away.

Yes, thank you for the detailed input.
Will be kept in mind for future releases, I'm not sure it'll be in for the first release.

It's true that RS2 environment was compelling at the time ; and still is. I still bless the guy who adapted it to EB1.
