Default South Park: The Stick of Truth

Can believe no one is talking about this game. It'a an RPG from Obsidian, made in the true South Park style. Parker and Stone were involved with the story from day 1.

60 dollars for a South Park version of AdventureQuest. Eh... no thanks.

    It looks like a riot
At $60 it can go in line behind civ5 BNW which I'm waiting for to go on sale

It reminds me a lot of this:

You're aware you can get it cheaper after a short time, right?

Football Manager 2013 was 50-60 euros when it came out, beginning of October. In second half of December, I got it for 14 euros.

In general, I rarely buy games immediately when they come out. Wait a few months, you get to see the quality of the game better, it get's patched and you get it for 25-75% of the original price. It's a win-win-win-win situation for me.

Yeah, I am, and the point still remains because it was a comment about the value of this game.

And frankly I wouldn't pick it up if it was free because time is what I'm short on, not money.

To each his own, of course.

I like the game play because it really feels (at least from watching) that you're in an episode of South Park. That was their goal from the start. Even though it might look simple, I think that's just because of the style of animation. There's a huge RPG underneath that.

I might buy this on the cheap. That it's Southpark brings me to the table. But the type of RPG they made (which I hate) prevent me from paying full price for it.

I haven't payed more than $30 for a game in a long time, but I just bought this and it feels worth every penny. It's completely hilarious and simple but enjoyable to play. I wouldn't say there's a huge RPG underneath it all, but there's more than enough game in the mix to make the experience work.

    What's the replay potential?

The game was fun, but not 60$ fun. It took me 9 hours, of which I enjoyed almost every second, to get 100% completion in the game.

It has limited replay-ability, with your big A or B choice being pretty much the same thing in the end.

I'd recommend getting it if the price dropped below 30$ unless they release some serious expansion pack for the game.

Considering its Ubi-lame-soft, I doubt we'll ever see that and will only get useless DLC items.

Played it for an hour or so over at my brother's, it was extremely fun.

I wouldn't say it's worth the full price, but it's definitely worth getting later if you even remotely like South Park.
