It began on seven hills - an EB 1.1 Romani AAR with historical house-rules (now ceased)
Heirs to Lysimachos - an EB 1.1 Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR with semi-historical houserules (now ceased)
Philetairos' Gift - a second EB 1.1 Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR
I didn't vote for them because I frankly don't know much about them. They're an unknown brand compared to the classic factions we know from EB1. When I go to the supermarket I usually buy Coca Cola, but I pick up an unknown soft drink brand only when I'm feeling particularly curious that day.
Interesting analogy.

Absolutely must start with mighty Qart-Hadash. Beating the shit out of the Romans with Carthage fulfills one of my strongest historical fantasies.
Funny you should say that, I'm doing that right now on EB1. I do it to keep the cravings down (its not working, its getting worse).Absolutely must start with mighty Qart-Hadash. Beating the shit out of the Romans with Carthage fulfills one of my strongest historical fantasies.
I'm going to do a little bit of shameless self promotion here: check out my Sweboz AAR for EB2 (alas discontinued)

I have been playing EB1 to death lately, and I keep discovering new things. When I reached Caledryn as the Aedui and found a certain "Cinaed" ruling there, I thought it might be a Latin inside joke.
Cinaed is a real Celtic name however, so that might have been my dirty mind at work.

Nothing I'll vote for them, where are they ?
But knowing myself I'll probably try 3 or 4 different factions for the first 48 hours before forcing myself to focus on one.
Just like when I'm in a buffet. Except that I don't stay 48 hours in front of a cold buffet (or I have no memory of it).

Part of me wants to play as the Romani, but all of those new factions are just so tempting to try...maybe I'll give the Pritanoi or Pergamon a swing.
But, chances are I'm going to head straight for the Romans, I doubt that I will even be able to control my hand!
Oh, and hi everyone, I'm new to the Org. I guess that's a thing, introducing yourself.

You picked a good time to join up, welcome!
No pressure, some of us don't have much interesting to say at all.

Romani in the lead, it seems.
