    Default Agent Sucess Rate

I dont know if any of you out there experience this, but I seem to find all my agents dead, all the time.
Yesterday my English cardinal was out there trying to denounce them retched blasphemers, to gain experience.
It had an 88% sucess rate, and he got converted to a heretic. When you think about it, thats like a 2% rate of herecy!
Also my spies always seem to die on likewise rates.
Am I seriously unlucky or do you guys experience this as well?
    Thanks for any replies

It can feel unlucky when you have a high percentage to success and it fails, especially where often failure leads to death of the agent. I try to use mine no things hopefully they can accomplish, like for example, using an assassin to kill of captains of bandit units.

Fortunately recruitment of agents is not all that expensive so in the end I deal with their occasional failures by simply hiring a bunch of them.

I guess that sometimes it can be helpful to have a hord of assassins!
Usually I don't do this at the start of the game.
I like to build up florins faster than at the end of campaigns.
For example I built up a mass of 15000 at the start of my England campaign to have something to collapse on in case of debt.
I believe that assassins have 300 florin per turn upkeep so having a lot of them can be costly!

Yes, they do run you a bit of coin, but they sure are handy to have around. I typically focus my development on economic side so money isn't usually that much of an issue for me.
